I’ve been holding off on buying this due to the price. I did end up purchasing after a few chilly rides. It doesn’t look like it’ll be warm, but it’s quite good with a base layer. Very wind proof. The cut is just how I like it, race fit but stretchy enough. I wear medium in castelli for just about everything and this medium works also. I’m 145 pounds and 5’8”. It does fit snug but I like that. The collar is a little big, but that will be great if you need to wear a thermal jersey underneath. I always wear a buff on my neck anyway. So far, so great!

Was debating getting something cheaper but decided to commit to this due to the reviews! All I can is so far so good, I had to send it back due to sizing but process perfect with Sigma. I'm usually a large in most normal clothing, 5'11" 80kg/12.6 stone, but with Castelli's sizing had to send back the XL I initially ordered as it was juuuuust to tight. The XXL fits with some room which is how I prefer my clothes anyway.Performance wise I haven't been in a proper downpour yet but seems a good deflector of showers and for me is more than warm enough - I usually run warm so have the side vents fully open most cycles above 5°c and this is perfect with some venting with the front zip aswell. Pockets at the back are generously sized too.I'd recommend to anyone looking ... MoreWas debating getting something cheaper but decided to commit to this due to the reviews! All I can is so far so good, I had to send it back due to sizing but process perfect with Sigma. Excellent jacket for cold weather

I bought this jacket to keep me riding in the colder months in the south of the UK. I have worn it with a thermal base layer on days of 4 to 10 degrees and it has worked a treat in keeping me warm. I have yet to test it in colder weather than that but I know I have the option of adding further base layers if necessary.I am 5"7 or 170cm and weight 65kgs. A small size was a snug but perfect fit. Perhaps a medium would have worked too if you are planning on layering up for heavy duty winter riding in sub zero temperatures.

Incredible jacket
31 October 2020

The Perfetto jacket is simply an incredible piece of cycling kit. The technology of the fabrics and the design is top notch. The jacket jacket has an aero fit and I would recommend going up 1 size. I’m 5ft 10 in and 168lbs and typically wear a medium however I ordered a large which fit great. There is not a lot of stretch in the jacket however it does offer enough to fit a base layer underneath on colder days. I have worn this jacket when the temperature is below 5degrees Celsius and have remained warm and comfortable. The back pockets are generous in size and the pump pocket is a great idea and are easily accessible with gloves on while the sleeves are long enough to not leave any skin exposed. Highly recommend if you are looking for a top quality versatile jacket.

Love Wearing the Perfetto !
16 December 2021

I now own 3, Perfetto long sleeve Jersey's (jackets) first one was bought in 2016 size XL, should have bought an L, next was the Perfetto Ros in 2019, Size L, and now received the new Perfetto Ros today; size XL. I like all three jersey's; although they are all different in size!! I'm 178cm tall weigh 73kg, the first XL Perfetto (not the Ros) is a bit roomy on me. The second a Perfetto Ross is Large, a real snug fit; especially under the arms. Now the new Perfetto Ros XL, received today is just sizing between the other two Perfetto's (not tight) but (not Slack) so for sizing of the new Perfetto Ros, for my height 178,cm and weight 73,kg XL is a comfortable fit with a good L/S Base layer. if you a wee bit taller and a wee bit heavier ? say 180cm and 76kg, it would ... MoreI now own 3, Perfetto long sleeve Jersey's (jackets) first one was bought in 2016 size XL, should have bought an L, next was the Perfetto Ros in 2019, Size L, and now received the new Perfetto Ros today; size XL. Nearly 5*
20 December 2021

I have had previous incarnations of Gabba/Perfetto jersies and have never been disappointed with the quality, fit or functionality of any of them. This latest purchase ticks all the boxes as far as quality and fit are concerned and is my go to jersey on cold and damp days - it's incredibly versatile in its temperature range when paired with appropriate base layers. Downside for me is the switch to two rear pockets from three. Not sure if this is the first incarnation to make that change but it doesn't work for me. I tend to carry slightly more in the winter - extra tube and insulated gilet - and it's just harder to cram everything into two pockets instead of three even if the overall volume is the same. Would have been 5* but for that as everything else about it is ... MoreI have had previous incarnations of Gabba/Perfetto jersies and have never been disappointed with the quality, fit or functionality of any of them. Perfect fit!
15 October 2020

I'm going to buck the trend here. I'm 178 cm, BMI about 22.5. According to Castelli's size chart, I needed a size small, so that's what I ordered. When I picked it up from Sigma Sports (I couldn't try it on owing to covid), even the guy who served me said "That'll be too small for you!"When I got home and tried it on, I found the for too be absolutely spot on! Okay, it's tight (in a good way) but I can wear a base layer under it. I've worn it in temperatures ranging from about 6 - 18°C at the upper end, it's too warm but at least you can lower the zip and undo the side vents. The waterproofing was initially fantastic but from previous experience, I'd expect that to rapidly deteriorate after a couple of washes.I would have preferred three pockets rather than two.

Well made but no Gabba
27 November 2021

I really wanted to like this jersey/jacket having previously owned a Gabba and an early Perfetto. Unfortunately it just didn't cut it for me. Wore it once in temperature of about 9'C with a merino base layer and it certainly was not warm - and started to feel cold at a coffee stop. Also seems a racier cut now, even a 3XL (I am 181cm / 95kg) was tight and has a very high front. Also doesn't seem to have the same coverage at the back as the older ones. I also miss the additional pocket now they have dropped from 3 to 2 rear pockets. I can't help thinking 'it it isn't broke, don't fix it' but feel Castelli have meddled a little too much and what was the perfect jacket for all weathers is now one to wear if it is not too cold and wet. Unfortunately it is now going on Ebay.

Worth every penny!
16 November 2020

Bought this at the end of summer and it extended my riding season my several months. An amazing jacket that protects you on the bike from the wind, rain and chilly fall weather. Fully breathable and comfortable too. I wore it most of the fall with only a light jersey or base layer underneath and when removed after riding it is nearly dry. The Gortex really moves the moisture when you are working hard on the bike. Great fit for me but recommend you go up a size as it is Rosso Corsa which is race cut and intended to be tight fitting. Love this jacket!!!

really warm and wind proof
2 February 2020

First time on it was a really cold day. I took my over jacket sure that with just a long sleeved thermal under shirt. The cold did not get through the jacket and neither did the wind. I’m really surprised and impressed with this jacket and expect the detachable sleeves will really extend range of weather conditions and the seasons it will be my go-to jacket. Wish I’d got one years ago. Did I say it was light weight? I think it was the weight which made me think originally that it could it be warm enough. Brilliant jacket. Happy to recommend it to anyone. I’m a 38 inch chest and the XXL fits well.

Cycling Protection. Come Rain or Shine. After four generations of the Perfetto long sleeve, the Perfetto ROS Long Sleeve Jersey gets the biggest performance upgrade yet, as denoted by the ROS in the title, Rain or Shine. This cycling jersey delivers comfort across a remarkably wide range of winter cycling conditions. Cold-weather comfort is taken care of by two exclusive Castelli GORE-TEX INFINIUM fabrics by Gore, a lightly fleeced front panel keeps in warmth while a lighter and high stretch rear fabric enhances breathability, so you always feel at just the right temperature. However, should you get caught in rain or snow it's then that the water repellent performance of the INFINIUM fabrics really come into their own. The Perfetto ROS is also the perfect weight for layering - use a light base-layer for milder conditions or add a thermal jersey underneath for more extreme cold. You decide. Details Honed With improvements to the fabrics complete, attention was then focused on getting all the details right. Improvements can also be found to the pockets, now larger to accommodate gloved hands, so no more frustrating fumbling for that energy gel. They also feature a pump sleeve inside, while below the pockets a dropped tail adds extra rear wheel spray coverage. Easily accessible side zipped vents boost airflow and a large reflective detail on the back is ideal for those shorter, darker days of winter. All details that really count towards comfort when cycling in the cold and wet. If there is just one item of clothing to see you cycling through autumn, winter and into spring, then the Perfetto ROS Long Sleeve Jersey could be it. An investment in your comfort as you tap out those colder weather miles in anticipation of summer smiles.
