Castelli used the X-Lite stretch Windstopper fabric in the areas of the body that receive the most battering from the wind-- the front panels and forearms and over the tops of the shoulders. The X-Lite fabric is 10 times more breathable when compared to other wind-protection fabrics making it the ideal fabric used in jerseys such as the Trasparente 3 which evaporates sweat and keeps you cool as your efforts on the bike increase. This Castelli women’s jersey protects you from cold weather almost as if it were a jacket, but it still feels as light and comfortable as a jersey. Castelli designed the jersey to fit like a race jersey-- close and comfortable and they added an elastic gripper on the waist to keep the jersey from riding up. Reflective strips become very visible to car lights and the rear pockets store all the necessary riding food to keep you energized and motivated to take on long winter endurance rides.
