I found the light to be good and the means of fixing it to my bike easy, so is the means of removing (stealing) it. In addition, the lamp can only be fixed to a vertical bar/tube and not a horizontal one (e.g. the cross piece on a rear rack) unless you want the lamp to fall out of it's bracket.

An excellent light at a very reasonable price, must buy. Light is powerful and lasts very long. Extra useful for those who are ultra cyclists and into BRMs as you do not need to worry at all about charging your devices!

The unit has several LED's inside. They are not the real bright LED's like the Cree units, but they are better than nothing. For the price, it's a fair deal. If you want the real bright flashing strobe easily seen in daylight, I would not recommend this unit. This unit has good visibility at night. To turn it on, push and hold the power button. A single push of the power button does nothing. (I should have read the instructions.)

Ridden with these for a while now. Easy to use, OK for urban night-time cycling, you'll need something stronger for heavy rain, mist, fog and rural night adventures. Explains why this is not BS compliant. Not USB rechargeable, which is better if you want to cycle more than 2hrs and not worry about forgetting to charge!
THESE ARE AWESOME!! I love these Cateye lights (the matching front ones too). They last many years and they hardly use up battery juice. I know they have re-chargeable lights, but these will last many many months (maybe a year!) without dealing having to deal with any charging hassle at all!!

Uses 2xAAA batteries (included) Cool feature is that the light can easily detach from the bracket so it isn't stolen but you can also attach it to the included 'belt clip' for your clothes or backpack. Attaches securely to the seat post with no tools required. Can be rotated to mount horizontally or vertically. I recommended this for road bikes, rather than heavy off road use due to its plastic construction and clip on cover. The on/off/mode switch is a little but small and fiddly, which may be annoying for bike riders wearing gloves but I just flick it on before I head out. Quiet bright, very good value considering price of the item. Two triple AA batteries are required to illuminate this rear bike light. Just a word of caution, the light lens can become detached after riding over larger potholes. A carefully placed elastic band is often use to doubly secure the bike light lens.
Made by Cateye this rear light is good quality surprisingly bright and surprisingly small. Has the possible green credential of being USB rechargeable. Hopefully replacement O rings for attaching to the seat post are easy to source? Well pleased especially the price I got it for on eBay. Might not have gone for it at new price, ouch! But.....you pay for quality. I've had cheap lights before and they're usually awkward to fit, aren't that secure and often not waterproof. What's that expression......buy cheap, pay dear! This is a good light!
Very cute flashlight. Quality made like all Cateye products. Bright, lightweight, secure mount. It can be mounted both horizontally and vertically. It shines from two finger batteries (provided with a flashlight). Fast, trouble-free delivery. I recommend.
Not impressed. Used it 2 years and maybe for 30 rides. The light just went kaput without any reason. Worked fine during the ride. Wont turn off or change mode. Took out the batteries and put them back again, but it refused to turn on.
