The best cat litter tray we've had. So much better than single tray types. We use less cat litter and there is way less smell. Quality strong (not flimsy) plastic.

A deep sifting cat littler tray

Tray set is alright. It's nice and deep, so can hold lots of litter (I might've used too much?) seems a bit hard to sift the sawdust - have to move it all around in the tray to get it to fall through, but again possibly user error. Very happy with my tray and wood litter purchase. Saved us from getting bits of clay all over the house!

A must have for Wood Pellet litter

A sifter tray is essential for Wood Pellet litter (which I HIGHLY recommend using!) and this tray is a simple and sturdy option. Any urine-soaked pellets [sawdust] can be removed with a couple of quick shakes of the sifter. The remaining pellets can be used again. Less waste, less mess.

I have been researching different type of litters and litter boxes for a while and this one stood out from the crowd. Read lots of good reviews, decided to buy and super happy I did. Super easy to clean you can compost the used litter smells great. I have swapped the litter box over immediately and the cats did not mind, started using straight away. One thing is pellets can have some sharp bit and probably not easy on paws as sand/clay but environmentally conscious and dust free.

Best tray on the market

I purchased this tray after owning a simple Kmart tray! I wish I had bought this tray sooner! I use less litter which saves money. The tray has higher sides so less stray litter gets everywhere! Can not recommend enough! The price is definitely worth it!

Great idea

Great idea, especially with the wood pellets but I agree with other reviewers. There should be a bigger space between trays. Also would like a collar around top tray to stop spillage.

Perfect for the Catmate Litter

I highly recommend this litter try for the CatMate litter and wished I had invested in one sooner. I work with foster cats and some cats are very light on their use of cat litter, and others will make MOUNTAINS out of the stuff. This litter tray allows me to sift a mountain down to leave all the best bits behind, instead of having to throw the whole lot out. Saves me a lot of time and money. My order was not delivered with a scoop, and although not a big deal, I haven't exactly been happy with the outcome as yet. It's still a work in progress. However, I am very happy with the tray itself.

Pros and Cons!

This tray system has potential but the design needs some tweaks! The bottom tray needs to be deeper because the Catmate litter refuse fills it up in 2 days and then the wee infused disintegrated litter can't be sieved through to the bottom tray and the tray STINKS of ammonia and some indistinguishable pong that's unique to Catmate cat litter. When the system is working, it's so easy to clean the poo out and then shake the disintegrated litter through to the bottom tray, BUT (and it's a big but) cleaning out the bottom tray is a truly revolting experience! It's impossible to do inside, as once you lift the top tray off, you're left with the issue of what to do with it while you clean the bottom tray. I have seen other similar tray systems that come with a second bottom tray (which would be quite useful, as a standard litter tray is too small to use as an alternate bottom tray). The only downside is you're still left with a top tray with dirty stilts and the only solution is to get rid of the remaining clean(ish) litter so you can thoroughly clean the ammonia smell away, otherwise the tray continues to stink. My design tweaks would be: 1. make the sifting tray without stilts under the base 2. Put the stilts in the bottom tray instead and make that bottom tray an inch deeper. 3. Provide a second bottom tray, so it can be swapped out when the first one needs cleaning. That way, the base of the top tray can be wiped with a disinfectant wipe and dried with a paper towel and then placed back on the clean bottom tray and the litter in the dirty bottom tray can be dumped out and the tray hoses out, disinfected and left to dry in the sun.

Awesome product with the wood pellets. This lasts longer with three cats. Easy to sieve the refuse and compostable. A lot easier to maintain. I highly recommend it.. Worth the price, financially and for the environment.

Works well

We’ve been using the cat mate kitty litter for years, but got this cat mate branded kitty litter tray only recently. It works very well with the kitty litter. It’s a bit of an effort shaking down the used bits, but it makes the kitty litter last a lot longer. We bought another one soon after the first one, and got rid of our old kitty litter trays.
