Having tried multiple soy based cat litters I wasn't impressed with this one. Yes it does an okay job at covering odours but that's about the only good thing. The pellets are so small and fine (compared to my regular brand) that they stick to their paws and get tracked everywhere. Then they are impossible to vacuum up because they just get caught in the vacuum head, crushed up and spat out again as a fine powder all over the vacuumed floor. For the most part it does an ok job at clumping as long as you don't jostle the clump around so it breaks up. The issue I had was under the clump it leaves a gooey paste on the tray that is hard to scrape up cleanly. I'll be going back to my tried and true soy litter that doesn't have as good an odour control but doesn't have any of the other issues.

This is the best tofu litter I've used to date and I've tried plenty. Ticks all boxes; good at controlling odour, clumps well and quickly, doesn't track as easily as other brands. I sometimes mix it with other tofu litter that isn't as good on odour control. I actually like the smell, to me it's like a faint biscuit scent that lasts the entire time. Surprisingly I don't find the green tea one as good.

I am trying to figure out what litter is the best for my kitties. This litter has a bit of a weird smell. The odour control is not great and the litter smells milky so you have this weird cat + milky smell mixed but does not cover the cat smell very well. I clean my litters twice a day and even then this litter started to smell after a few days. I do like its clumping abilities though

We have tried this green tea and the wood clumping litter and both work really well. It might seem expensive at first compared to the cheaper litters but it last so much longer and still smells decent when spot cleaned when needed. We have tried quite a few other brands but so far this is our top pick. There's no dust as well which is really good for our female cat who can be a bit sensitive. I was pretty surprised how long 7.2kg can last!
Just received the order. The scent is lovely (my human perspective), not super strong when blended with my old tofu litter. But cats probably find it strong if fully use this one (remember they have extremely sensitive noses!). When I poured this into the litter box, my girl immediately jumped in, smelled it so hard then took a piss. Very funny hehe. So I assume that was a sign she accepted and liked this.
I?d been using (good quality) clay clumping litter for 20yrs but wanted to try something new that still clumped well, but didn't leave litter everywhere outside the box. After trying a few tofu litters I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO CLAY!!!! That said, I have found marked differences in brands. the clumping in cheap ones (in retail stores) seems to spread so you end up going thru a lot more than u should. I've now tried a few of the ones here on Pet Circle and while all were quite good, I've settled on this one. It ticks every box: very little tracking, smells really nice yet isn't overwhelming, great odour control, and because it clumps using the least amount of pellets as possible, one bag per litter box lasts for ages. My cat and I both like the tofu litter which we switched to from paper pellets. . - it's great at clumping - as a result it seems to conserve more of the unused litter - so although it's a smallish bag I think it's lasting me longer than the big paper pellets I used to buy. Eg cheaper in long term. - it's decent with odour control but if she has a particularly good effort at 2 it doesn't conceal. But I don't think any litter really does - has a nice ice creamy kind of scent. - love that it's flushable which is the reason I switched from the paper pellets.
The tofu litter is great at masking the smell of cat urine. It turns the tofu into a playdough type substance. The package says you can flush it, but I tried this, don't! Like I said- play dough substance. I had to do an extra clean of the toilet because it wouldn't flush and stuck to the bottom! I like that I can put it in the green bin though. I do wish the bags were bigger. I go through one per week. I would recommend this product.
I am not sure I would call this a 'milky' type smell. Natural or synthetic. It smells 100% like mangos to me and I can never smell anything but that when I clean the box out. So far we've only tried it in 2 of our 7 litter boxes as we have six cats and didn't want to deal with the fallout if none of them liked this. But they do, they love it. The size is half that of all other tofu or plant-based litter I have tried. Which whilst doesn't stop tracking, has greatly reduced it. I really hope this is back in stock soon, as I was sorely disappointed to have to stock up with another brand.
This is a great brand. I tried different tofu litter before Trouble and Trix Natural Pellet original but I found their odour too strong and make me nauseous most of the time and their pellet actually a little bit bigger. This one has neutral odour which is great and they clump really well it's suitable for my automatic cat litter pura x petkit. However, the weight written on this page and box is different. The weight written in the box is 7.2kg. So i think it need to be fixed. Other than that it's all good. It's quite long lasting too.
