Cature Wood Clumping Cat Litter Odour Control Plus 20L/8Kg

Love this litter. Definitely better on smells than other litters and the clumping works well if you have a pooper scooper to scoop it out with. Was great to be able to buy these more bulk packs too.

Very happy with the Cature Wood Clumping Litter as there does not appear to be any dust. Unlike a lot of the other types of litters. Very happy with the supplier Petso too as delivery was prompt with no problems at all.

Amazing!

This is my first attempt at switching out of the regular litter and I'm so pleasantly surprised by how well it works! The wood litter absorbs the odour really well and it flushes easily into the toilet. I would highly recommend this to those who are thinking about switching to a more eco-friendly litter!

Clumping okay odour control 4/10

the litter does clump well but breaks apart easily when I try and sift it out. I clean my litter twice a day and this litter started to smell by day 2/3 so it's odour control was not great....

Clumps extremely well

Love this litter! clumps extremely well, never any loose bits of wee on litter falling from the scoop. Odourless as well.

GREAT CAT LITTER

This is the only cat litter that doesn't track around my house. We have a cat with thumbs and clay and smaller wood based litter would stick in his paws. This litter is a little larger and doesn't do that. The odor control and clumping is on par with other litters. I made a mistake with my order and the staff of Catoro was excellent in alerting me of this mistake. Great company, staff, and product!

Holy grail cat litter

I'm sorry to see the middling reviews this litter has received so far. In my experience it is a perfect kitty litter that combines excellent odour control, clumping, and near-zero trackability (when combined with a top entry litter box). Prior to finding this one I used Cat's Best Original for a year. I loved that litter for its odour control and clumping but the tracking around my apartment was INSANE. I would find on my piano, in my kitchen, and on my bed. Ugh. I then tried the Breeder's Choice recycled paper pellets. Hated that stuff. The lack of clumping made it impossible to properly scoop out all the urine-saturated pellets, so the box became dirty and stinky with ammonia quickly and required weekly changing. The only benefit was the reduction in tracking. I decided to try Cature's pink box clumping wood pellets because some reviews indicated the blue box didn't control odour that well. I used 1/3 of the 'bricks' to fill my litter box. Upon first pouring it out, my nose was met with a strong woody pine smell. It not unpleasant (quite nice, really) but it was strong and filled my small bathroom. The woody smell remained strong for about 2 days, during which I was disappointed and thought it was a serious negative, but then it began to dissipate. I can now only smell it when I put my nose right into the litter box (and I've asked friends to confirm this so I know it's not just nose blindness). It's been almost 2 weeks and the litter box still smells fresh with just that woody smell when up close. The clumping action is great and a relief after the paper pellets. Immediately after the cat pees it can be a bit soft but I just leave it for an hour or so and then scoop. I make sure to angle my scoop towards the bottom of the box and this dislodges the clump from anywhere it may have stuck without breaking it into smaller pieces. I never smell any ammonia when scooping. Tracking is almost non-existent. Because I have a top entry box and the pellets don't stick to my cat, they only escape if she engages in jumping theatrics when leaving the box. On average I find 1-3 pellets directly next to the box each day when I used to have to sweep my apartment twice a day. I have noticed that the longer my cat uses it some of the pellets start to break and grind down (from her walking on and digging at them) but this is bound to happen with every form of pellet litter. I anticipate I'll go another 2-3 weeks before I decide to change the whole litter over, meaning this 8kg box will last me at least 3 months (in comparison, I went through 30L of the Breeder's Choice in 3 weeks just from having to change it so often). It's very economical. This is IT for me. I feel like I've conquered all my cat litter problems and so long as they keep making this litter to this level of quality I'll keep using it.

It's ok

Takes time for the clump to form and still hard to separate it from the other pellets and the woody smell is of putting. They track it through the house and it's overly expensive

Non-toxic clumping litter

I used to use Catmate wood litter which not clumping, and having two cats made sifting the litter box very time consuming. So this clumping wood litter is life changing. It's non-toxic and not dusty, I don't have to worry about my cats breathing it in when they dig into the litter. On top of it all, there is no odour!

Truly low-dust. The best litter we’ve tried yet

Out of the 3 different wood pellet litters I’ve tried, this one is the best: it’s truly low-dust, low odour, and lasts a long time for a single cat. It clumps better than the corn cob litter we’ve tried, and doesn’t lose its ability even after weeks of use.
