Caudalie Vinosource Hydra Grape Water Gel Moisturizer 50ml

I’ve been using this moisturizer for quite a while - overall it’s a good moisturizer for anyone who has oily skin or just wants a lightweight gel-like formula (especially for the morning). I have combination skin, and I did however find that it just is not as hydrating as my skin needs. As with other reviews, this moisturizer does in fact peel/pill. I’ve noticed this with and without makeup. It’s the only pitfall of this product in my opinion. This gel has a lovely fresh scent that is not overwhelming for anyone who is sensitive to smells. I would describe the smell to be like fresh garden peas. Overall, it’s a solid product and I believe the positives outweigh the fact that it peels off/pills.

I bought Caudalie from Costco. This is a skincare product that I didn't know before, but I decided to try it because my skin is quite dry. And it didn't disappoint me. The cream quickly absorbs into the skin without causing stickiness, has a pleasant scent, and a sleek design. This is a vegan product with 98% of natural origin ingredients. I use it twice a day in the morning and evening. After a month, my skin looks smoother.

Disappointing

I received a generous sample jar of this and finally got around to using it. I was going to save it to take traveling because of the size, but I’m glad I didn’t, as I really don’t like it. It’s very light, with the usual earthly scent of Caudalie products. But, I don’t find it moisturizing at all even after using a substantial amount. On top of that, my face felt sticky afterwards instead of moisturized. Disappointingly, my sunscreen pilled when used on top of it. So, unfortunately, it’s a moisturizer that I’ll just end up using as hand cream. I usually love Caudalie products but this simply didn’t work for me.

Good But not GREAT

This product is OK. Gel creams are my ‘go to’ for moisturizers as I prefer something light weight and not too heavy. This product is ALMOST that. However, I don’t feel that this product is very hydrating when compared to others. It creates a good barrier for the skin but it’s not something that’s going soak in and give you that dewy and plump feel. Its almost more of a serum type feel rather than moisturizer. It’s too light weight for me. Probably great for someone with oily skin that needs something simple.

Great light-weighted moisturiser for night-time

I use it as a nigh-time moisturizer for my oily/combination with dry patches. I have been experiencing really bad adult acne in my 30s since past one year. But this product has not at all resulted in any new acne pimples. In fact my skin is getting clear and because of this cream, the moisture barrier has improved. I, ofcourse, use vaseline on top of it on my dry patches to soothe my skin down. It pills if I use it in the morning under sunscreen. Hence, I have been using this at night before I apply vasline and benzoyl peroxide on face.

Not so great after all!

Having used this moisturiser for the past couple of weeks now, II retract my original review!! It started off as a lovely light moisturiser which I thought would be perfect for the summer. I am now finding it not quite moisturising enough. However, my main disappointment is that it crumbles once applied. It does so when I apply foundation on top or if I use serum under it!! I would not recommend this moisturiser, I will not be using it any more and I wish I could get my money back. This is the only product I have purchased from this brand and it has put me off trying any other products by Caudalie

Perfect hydrating, lightweight summer moisture

I was generously gifted this product by Caudalie in exchange for my honest review.This moisturizer is perfect for skin that needs moisture in the summer. Aloe Vera is a favorite ingredient for me because it is so soothing and helps retain moisture. The grape water is such a wonderful addition because it is very soothing. I have used other Caudalie products and will continue to because they work however, they are not packed with questionable ingredients. There is science behind the products, and they are not a hype-based company but rather one based on actual results. This moisture has a rich texture however it is quickly absorbed and doesn’t leave a tacky finish. This moisturizer is absorbed quickly into the skin and makes a nice base for either sunscreen or primer. I am 39 and have skin that I would say is combination and I feel that this meets my moisture needs but isn’t too greasy. I think this product would work for all skin types because it has that gel type texture that is quickly absorbed and doesn’t just sit on the skin. You don’t need a lot, maybe half the size of a dime, and it covers your entire face. Pat it onto your skin after applying a moisturizing toner and you will be set. I think this is a generous amount of product and a decent price. It will easily last for months. This is a prestige brand that has been beloved for years and for the money you are getting an excellent value of ingredients and results. In my photos you can see the texture which is rich but quickly spreads to a sheer texture and absorbs into your skin.

I feel like my skin just sucks in the cream almost instantaneously. I bought this moisturiser as my usual choice Resveratrol-Lift was out of stock.I have oily skin, which can get dehydrated, so it thrives on moisture.Within a few days use I noticed a big difference - my skin feels plump, fresh and glistening.My pores are less visible and my skin tone more even. Wouldn't use anything else
