This is a great pair of binoculars at an incredible price - Quite an improvement over my old 7X50 Bushnell's. I thought that I was going to miss the toggle focus on the 7X50's, but the 10X50 dial is handy and easy to move and holds its place better than the old glass. Being able to use them as close as 9 feet is fabulous for seeing fine detail. The inter pupil distance stays set. The grip is sure and comfortable. The diopter setting stays in place and the eyepiece adjustments for eyeglasses are wonderful. These 10X50's are no harder to hold still than the 7X50's and with the Nikon ProStaff Suspender Harness Binocular Strap, they don't get in the way when they are not being used and require no effort to carry. So I don't have to take my eyes off of what I am looking at and trying to not loose sight of.The optics are amazing - only one time have I had violet fringing and that was right at sunset. Haven't had the same thing happen at sunset or under any other conditions since. They are used every day.A roll of arts and craft heavy duty twist tie material will keep you from loosing the lens covers when the twist tie keeps them anchored to the holds for the straps. The same twist tie material will make them easy to attach and detach from the harness.

Does everything you would hope for and feels very solid. The binoculars are fairly small and compact, which makes them well suited for carrying them in your pocket. The only downside I would mention would be the limited eye-relief available with these binoculars. Still a great choice for the cost - though worth noting that this could be improved.

The Celestron Outland X 10x25 binoculars are easy to carry and use for long periods of time due to its light weight. The magnification is excellent allowing me to clearly see distant objects. I have used them at the beach under foggy conditions, and found the lenses to be fog free. My only complaint is that the adjustment for whose of us who wear glasses, does not work for me. I therefore use the binoculars without my glasses and that works perfectly.

I was pretty impressed by the write up for these binoculars and numerous 5 star reviews I read online when researching so duly ordered a pair of these primarily for bird-watching. I have been using for a couple of months now and here is what I've found. They are that they are fairly lightweight, decent build quality, and the image clarity is brilliant. Not as bright compared in side by side comparison with more expensive pair one of my companions has but a feel a lot happier about replacing these should there be any mishaps! Excellent value for money if you ask me and a really good buy!
Nice crisp image to the edge. I'm quite badly colour blind but colours look spot on to me. Solid feel, hinge is smooth but tight enough to stay in position. Focus wheel is smooth but requires two fingers to move and diopter is very tight, which stops it from being accidentally moved. Twist up eye cups could do with a fraction more relief and don't feel that sturdy but they lock in the up position. I've only had these for a few weeks so no idea if they'll stand the test of time but they do come with a limited lifetime warranty. These binos are great value for money.
Better than expected for the money...very sharp, compact, light & sturdy. Doesn't include any lens caps though, so need to be careful when handling...that's the only reason for dropping one star.
I purchased both the Outland 8 x 25s and the larger 8 x 42s. The 8 x 25s FOV is very good and their compactness and lightweight are pluses. The negatives for the 8 X 25s are that they dont include lens covers, and the optics arent nearly as good as the larger 8 x 42s. Center focus is decent but the focus isnt uniform for the entire FOV. For about 15 bucks more, I think the 8 X 42s are a much better product. And the 8 x 42s have lens covers.
I had bought and returned 2 other roof prism binoculars by other brands that were in the sub $ range. Both of those binoculars had issues where the image would be sharp at the center but blurry around the center. I could get the surroundings in focus but then the center would be out of focus. I'm happy to have paid a bit more for these Celestrons. The image is sharp overall (with exception of the outer edges, but I can accept that). Images are surprisingly clear for a 25mm lens. The focuser works well although it makes a little rubbing-like sound when turning. One minor design flaw is that the focuser knob tends to rest on your nose bone which makes it rub against your nose when focusing. Not a big issue. I can get close focus to just under 15 feet. At close focus I have to set the diopter to + to get both lenses well focused. At long/infinite distances I have to set the diopter to just above 0 to get both lenses well focused. Other reviewers have complained about black spots on images which I have not come across. I now have a nice porro prism by Meade and these roof prisms, without braking the bank. The Meades produce nicer images overall but it's not a fair comparison since the Meades have 50mm lenses. And I'll probably be taking these Celestrons with me on trips more because the roof prism design allows them to be more compact and lighter (in weight) than a porro prism design. These Celestrons come with a neck strap attached to the binoculars, a (soft fabric) carry case and a cloth to clean the lenses. No lens caps included but that's not a big deal. The image sharpness and clarity and the decent build and finish are deserving of 5 stars for the money I spent on these. I guess the nitrogen purging is an added bonus.
I wanted a versatile set of binoculars for viewing birds and other wildlife. The binoculars are great for moon and stargazing and easy to adjust if following a bird, the rowell for near to far is in the exact correct position and changing distance feels natural. Highly recommend it also because they are Celestron and are known for great optics.
I wanted something smaller and more portable than my large pair i've had for 20 plus years. I know the Celestron brand through astronomy and know how good their kit is. I was very close to a different pair, but what won me to these was the clear statement on water resistance and the anti-fog as well. They will fit into any coat pocket, or cargo trouser side pocket and are very easy to both adjust and use. The magnification is easily enough for most purposes from a quick night-time stargaze to wild life spotting when out walking.
