Couldn't have been a worse product. Spent 2 hours reading instructions and meticulously assembling and then reassembling to see Jupiter with my kids in a once-in-a-lifetime event. Didn't see a single thing. You know how tricky it is to see through a microscope this thing was 20 times harder. Returned item.

This telescope completely sucks. The stand is so unstable that it makes it next to impossible to focus and if and when you do , it is so fuzzy and unclear . I bought this junk as a alternative to a spotting scope. Spend the extra 20 bucks and get a spotting scope. I tried to use it to look at the moon and the cheap spotting scope worked WAY better. I have a old cheapo tasco that is better. If there is a slight breeze then it shakes way to much to view. Don't waist your money , it's terrible . I'm the king of making cheap crap work and there isn't much hope for this one. I regret spending money on it every time I look at it. Heck , my rifle scope has a 12 time zoom and i can see the craters on the moon much much MUCH better than this so called telescope. Forget about ... MoreThis telescope completely sucks. This is a great telescope for beginners and/or amateur astronomers. The telescope allows for viewing features on the moon, or looking out at the planets and other celestial features. I recommend this céleste on if you’re a casual astronomer, or just getting your feet wet.
Great product. I love it. Comes with everything you need to start right out of the box. Basic knowledge of photographing gives you a great boost and AWESOME pictures. Very simple to use, but not so amateur as u might think. Great
You need tons of time just to see our beautiful moon. The image hardly stops shaking!I gave it two stars, because I was able to see the moon finally:)
I bought this early in December as a Christmas gift for my child. I ordered online for pick up and the process as the store was very efficient! Unfortunately, I did not notice that the box had already been opened, seemingly already opened and returned, until Christmas Eve. After opening, my son loved it, but the quality seems very poor. I wish I could return this item.
I purchased for my two adult children Who moved to a house with a beautiful view from mountains to city views. It’s perfect for them they now sit on their front porch and look far into the mountains. They also plan to take it camping so they can watch the stars. I purchased online and delivery was prompt. I feel it’s good value for the money.
I looked through a few and unfortunately these small refracting telescopes will make it very hard to love astronomy. The common reaction when looking through a semi-decent telescope for the first time is something like: Wow! This telescope will be met with silence as you try really hard to aim a shaky mount, focus soft lenses and see what is in the colour-shifted image. Canadian Tire sometimes does stock a nice 6"+ aperture reflecting telescope. Look for those instead! With an instrument like that there hundreds of space objects ranging from cool to jaw dropping within reach. Celestron is not a bad brand for Astronomy, they do make some good and excellent scopes as well. Here are some tips for first time telescope buyers:- Visit a free local astronomy club star ... MoreI looked through a few and unfortunately these small refracting telescopes will make it very hard to love astronomy. With an instrument like that there hundreds of space objects ranging from cool to jaw dropping within reach. Celestron is not a bad brand for Astronomy, they do make some good and excellent scopes as well. Here are some tips for first time telescope buyers:- Visit a free local astronomy club star party, say wow as you count rings on Jupiter and learn some about what to get.- The colourful pictures on the box of a telescope are not what you see through your scope, almost any scope. Those are long exposure photographs. The night sky is dim, gorgeous, but dim and mostly in black and white, some planets excluded. Get an idea of what you can see with what telescope on a site called 'Astronomy Sketch of the Day'- Small telescopes will often boast very high magnifications (600x etc.). The weak optics and shaky mount will never actually make you be able to use these kind of magnifications. Aperture or diameter of the telescope is much, much more important. Most things in the sky are dimmer than they are small. No serious scope is flaunting high magnification...- If you are on a budget, consider getting binoculars instead of a telescope. Again, aperture is much more than magnification. Look for something between 7x and 9x, 50mm and more aperture.
this telescope is good for it price and it's very cheaply made and it is very light weight i mean very light it feel like a toy it's not high quality at all it's made of plastic and the image is very unstable and shakybut still it work fine for the price and it is very very low end and to be honest just buy something with higher quality than this
