Needed to step up my weights and didn't want to pay the ridiculous prices being charged at gym supplies or on line. Rebel had a 40% off sale on top quality weights...it was a no brainer. Top quality and cheap.

The weights are great! One thing that could be better is the size of the plates, if they we're reduced in size it would make fitting other weights onto my barbell easier but other then that they are perfect.

Yep, this one I don't know how to review. I wanted a piece of metal with a hole in it that weights 10kg and this exactly fits that description!The hole can be used to insert a metal bar, which can then be gripped with ones hands and lifted from and to various directions.It comes with three convenient grips, that allow the piece of metal to be held from three separate points on a two dimensional plane.Intrinsic to the piece of metal is the aspect of inertia that must be overcome to alter its disposition in space and time. This action when performed by a meat body repeatedly can at length result in increasing quantities of meat being formed upon the body, which is desirable in many human circles.
I have a number of Celsius products at home, that all perform adequately well no matter what your home workout experience level is like. They are comfortable to grip for exercises such as plate raises for example, and work perfectly well with a bar bell. I have also left them out in the elements over night, and they are showing no signs of damage. Solid product.
I am quite happy with the Celsius weight plate. I bought it for home use during corona virus lockdown and have found a large variety of exercises to perform with the plate. I didn't want a heap of weights that I probably wouldn't use again once my gym re-opens so this was a good all round choice. I can even sit some small hand weights into the handles to increase the weight above the 10kg it already has. I find the grips are good and my hands don't slip around when exercising. All in all, a good purchase to keep me active while at home.
Although the detailed desciption on these does state the size of the hole, there is a pretty standardised system for weight sizing accross the world - standard and olympic. This hole fits neither of the widely accepted standard sizes, it is slightly smaller than 'standard' and thus doesnt fit on standard bars bought elsewhere. I really dont understand why Rebel doesnt just make the hole a couple of mm bigger so these plates can used with standard equipment.I should have read the descriprion in more detail, but have never come across this before with weights bought anywhere else.

First off, please make sure you read the description before purchasing, it is for 25mm barbells! Please don't try to fit it onto a 28mm or Olympic (50mm) barbell.With that out the way: the weight plate initially seems pricey for cast Iron but it is coated which makes it more resistant to shattering, and more resistant to water compared to bare cast iron. With that said however, please don't go slamming these weights around, or drop them on a deadlift unless you have something protecting the floor (no weights are designed for that). These plates seem durable enough that I can see them lasting decades, if not the rest of my life, if you treat them well.That the plates are Tri Grip makes them convenient and great for a variety of exercises on their own off the barbell. Farmers walks, Weighted Crunches, Overhead Press, Lateral Raises, Front Shoulder Raises, you can even curl with them (This is by no means an exhaustive list of the exercises you can do with these plates).If you weigh these plates, you may find they actually weigh a little more than 10kg, likely because of the coating, which isn't that bad. The great thing, however, is that all (of the six 10kg plates I purchased) weight plates are incredibly similar in weight, with a negligible amount of deviancy (which is quality you would expect from much more expensive weights).((Wait, why is this important?))Well, cheaper cast iron tends to have a problem with deviancy, some plates weigh significantly less, and some weigh significantly more than the weight they are meant to be. The differences in weight can add up and cause injury if one side becomes heavier.However, will all of the plates I've bought from Rebel, there doesn't appear to be any outstanding issues of weight deviance. With that said, there is a possibility I may have lucked out with the plethora of plates I've purchased from Rebel, but I doubt this is the case and I like to believe the quality is consistent among Rebel plates.If you're looking for a little higher quality weight plates at a good price range, I cannot recommend these enough. If you'll stick with a 25mm barbell then go for these (buy nice or buy twice), because if you look after these plates they will look after you.
Absolutely essential to all folks wanting to do a home gym with a barbell.The only issue is if you're doing deadlifts the standard barbell might be a better option, as the length of the plate is longer on a Standard Plate so you have less room to pull than this Olympic Plate.
