I've been having a wonderful time trying out all kinds of cleansers, moisturizers, masks, etc. Today I tried out a sample of the CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion With Sunscreen that I had received complements of their website. This product was a heavier face cream, and you can definitely smell the sunscreen in it. The scent did not bother my sensitive skin though. I have combination/oily skin and this moisturizer made my skin kind of shiny, and a little bit oily. It absorbed quickly and evenly into my skin and wasn't sticky or tacky feeling in any way. This moisturizer with SPF is a hydrating facial lotion that spreads easily, is absorbed quickly, and leaves a non-greasy finish. All-day hydration with broad spectrum sun protection. 3 essential ceramides to help restore skin's natural barrier. Developed with dermatologists, this hydrating face lotion- featuring 3 essential ceramides moisturizes throughout the day and provides broad spectrum protection with SPF 30. For $9 on Amazon I don't really think that I would purchase this product. I'm not really sure if I would recommend this product for oily skin, but for dry or normal skin, I definitely would.

Very moisturizing sunscreen that also helps treat with the addition of niacinamide. 3 pumps is usually enough for me to cover my entire face and a bit of my neck. I believe it’s fragrance free as there is no real smell beside the spf. Very smooth application, but doesn’t blend the best in with my skin tone and leaves a decent white cast on my face. Recommend following it with a small amount of oil or facial cream to help it really incorporate in those spots, especially if you have a beard and don’t like that outline, otherwise you might be trying to rub it in for a while. The one thing that makes it difficult for me to recommend or repurchase is the fact it certainly stings the eyes. Better as a sunscreen than a regular moisturizer

I bought this moisturizer several weeks ago after having used the PM one for a few weeks and overall loving the product. This new one threw me through something of a loop though. When I applied it, I noticed that it had a slightly thicker consistency then the PM version. Obviously, the daytime formulation is going to be slightly different. Understandable. However, I did notice that not only was it thicker, but made my skin feel sticky, and didn't seem to absorb in. I believe this may have been because of the sunscreen factor. I considered returning it but decided to stick with it for a while and give it a little more time. Great Dupe for A More Expensive SPF

To me, this is a great, and cost-effective dupe for a well-known dermatologist-recommended spf for acne-prone skin (this other product happens to be spf 46 and rhymes with "delta"). True, this only has spf 30, but aside from that the products look and feel the same. They are both hybrid zinc oxide/chemical sunscreens and they both heavily feature niacinamide as a star ingredient. The more expensive spf has lactic acid and instead this Cerave AM moisturizer has ceramides. Honestly, I'll take the ceramides over the lactic acid because I don't need my moisturizer/sunscreen to exfoliate - I'd rather it protect my skin which the ceramides will contribute to. So again, I think the only thing better about the more expensive product is the spf level 46. If you are looking for more of a light moisturizer, I'd suggest the Ultra-Light Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30. That one feels more like a moisturizer and less like an spf. But the downside to that one is that it doesn't have niacinamide, which I find helps with balancing oil production. All in all, this AM moisturizing lotion is a good solid choice, is non-irritating, doesn't break me out, and is a much, much cheaper alternative to the above-described more expensive product. It's not my favourite sunscreen overall, but I will keep it in rotation and would recommend it.

Great, but be cautious mixing products

I really like this moisturizer! I docked a star because when paired with the vitamin c serum you have to be careful how it's applied otherwise the moisturizer like combines with the serum and ends up getting chunky.. yes I said chunky... like white chunks.. it's yuck.. HOWEVER I have figured out how to use them together in perfect harmony.You put the serum on first and as fast as possible before it soaks in or dries you add the moisturizer to your face and rub it in super quick. I've not had any issues with absorption or it getting "chunky" since I figured this method out. It kind of sucks that this happens, and that it isn't really indicated that you should apply them a certain way to avoid this, but I love this brand and their products so whatever I'll make it ... MoreI really like this moisturizer! Horrible reaction to this moisturizer!!

I was so mistaken. Upon first application on my face the following day, it stung a little around my eyes but I just thought it was from lack of sleep due to traveling. I used it again the following day and the same stinging happened but was a bit worse and was just around my eyes so I thought maybe I developed an issue with my L'Oreal eye moisturizer I have been using for a year. So I tried the CeraVe again the third day, this time my whole face stung and I knew it was that moisturizer. The 3rd day after not using CeraVe, I woke up with both eyes swollen shut an my eye area and around my mouth felt rough and scabby, itchy and was very red. The fourth day my eyes are still itchy, puffy and swollen, very red and the scabby skin is still scabby and starting to flake a little like I got a chemical burn. I have taken a antihistamine each day since I stopped used the lotion and it has helped some but I am still experiencing the swelling, itchiness and red scabby raw skin. I cannot go to work looking like I went 10 rounds with Mike Tyson! If you use this product, do a test on a small patch of your skin for a couple days first!! I would like my money back on this product but I bought it while traveling and I am now home.
