I have combination acne-prone skin and I love using Cerave products. When I purchased this specific cleanser I couldn’t even think where my breakouts were coming from. So I switched back to Cetaphil, my skin finally calmed down and healed. But then two nights ago I used this Cerave cleanser again to remove makeup, and all the whiteheads came in the morning. No other skincare/makeup products were changed or added. No period or stress at this time, yet I got lots of new breakouts. I couldn’t believe this cleanser would do it but I read other peoples comments and yep, I am not the only one. Also, have I mentioned how dehydrating this product is? Not going to be using this and won’t recommend.

I have always struggled with acne. I had often used crude products on my face that damaged my skin- making me break out more. And I can never tell what type of skin I had since it would be oily in some spots but dry and crusty in others! But this cleanser was the best investment I have made yet! My targeted areas were my chin, jawline and neck, since I often struggle there! Withing 3-5 days I started seeing a change. Granted, I often paired this with cera version daily moisturizer since it can be a bit drying. Effective but Gentle Face Wash

CeraVé is a brand I’ve used for years now. I really trust that it will rid my skin of dirt, oil and impurities. Since I have combination skin foam cleansers are my go to which makes this perfect. This face wash starts off as a cream that transforms into a foam. It’s very gentle and I don’t have to worry about it stripping my skin. I love that it’s formulated with 3 different ceramides. Better yet, it contains hyaluronic acid which is one of my favorite skincare ingredients. It’s also very hydrating as it works to lock in moisture. Overall, it’s a great face wash suitable for all skin types.

Which leads to me sleeping in makeup or putting on moisturizer on an unwashed face.However this product is a godsend on those lower energy days. I just apply some of this face wash with some lukewarm water and wash my face full of makeup for a minute or two. After, I just use a washcloth and some warm water to remove the soap. The restult: a soft clean face and all my makeup is removed, even my waterproof mascara. All I need after is some of the moisturizing lotion to hydrate my skin and I'm ready to go to bed. It has a nice creamy consistency right out the bottle and for me it creates a beautiful luxurious type lather. I see a lot of people saying it doesn't suds up for them but I think you just have to use enough. It's very moisturizing my face never feels tight or dry after but it does feel clean.
