A bottle of CeraVe was on the bathroom counter, and the following fabulous actives were in the ingredients! Ceramide 1, Ceramide 3, Ceramide 6 Ii , Phytosphingosine (also a ceramide) - there are nine different ceramides found in the skin naturally. Glycerin - keeps the skin lipids between our skin cells healthy, protects against irritation, and helps to restore barrier. Hyaluronic Acid - a sugar molecule that occurs naturally in the skin. It helps to bind water to collagen, trapping it in the skin, so that skin can appear plumper, dewier, and more hydrated. My skin barrier will be well-protected tonight! This probably won’t replace my normal moisturizer, but I’m happy I knew I was safe putting it on my skin. I can’t give a company that animal tests 5/5 stars…

I have searched for lotions that will help my skin because my skin is very sensitive so I need some thing that is not thick and oily and will not break out my skin . I started using this lotion about three years ago and my skin has significantly changed. Are used to be scared of using lotion on my face because I didn’t want to add oil to it because my face I thought it was very oily but instead, I came to figure out that it was actually super dry because I would never put lotion on. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who has normal to dry skin and does not want an oil moisturizer on their face.

Pure Essential When I moved to a mountainous elevated state about a year ago, I found out rather quickly that daily and nightly moisturizing would be a part of my daily routine. The lack of humidity will quickly reek havoc on your skin. Having previously tried CeraVe's sunblock products, it was an easy choice to make when it comes to a body moisturizer. This CeraVe product has that purity that I look for, no nonsense but total quality. I also look for products that are fragrance free as I feel sometimes the scent can mask a lower quality product. A little goes a long way. It is worth it to me to pay a tad bit extra above the store brand. Also, knowing that National Association's endorse CeraVe products is an added stamp of quality. Some context: I have perpetually dry skin. Every winter, it’s a struggle to keep my hands moisturized. I’ve tried multiple products and they’re usually ineffective. I tried CeraVe and I’d say that it did better than most, but wasn’t the best moisturizer I’ve tried. Oddly enough, the most effective lotions have been the Bath and Body Works ultimate hydration body creams with hyaluronic acid. However, of course they’re all scented. Since I love wearing fragrances, I often need an unscented moisturizer so that the lotion’s scent does not mess with the fragrance. This is where I wanted CeraVe to perform equally well to the BBW creams. While CeraVe doesn’t perform as well on my skin, it does keep my skin moisturized for a few hours before I need to reapply. This stuff is amazing I am so mad at myself for not trying this years ago when I saw the dermatologist recommended it but I recently tried to product it destroyed my skin and I was prescribed tretinoin so I decided to try to go to simple route and I knew I would end up with purging so I figure now would be the time to try it… thankfully I didn’t see much purging because my skin was already horrific and this stuff really saved my skin barrier it goes on nice and thick but my skin doesn’t look greasy afterwards and within three days my skin was a perfect balance of color no excess oil whatsoever it hasn’t looked this even in a very long time! I will never use another cream at night again and I’ve actually been using this quite a bit during the day too and I’m absolutely loving it! no more spending $100 on a cream that I end up hating this will always be something I keep in my skin care routine now even if I try other products. My skin doesn’t just look good either it’s like when you start eating healthy food your body feels better? my skin feels better! It feels like it got much needed nutrients and is healthy. I’m in love!

After starting accurate I almost EXCLUSIVELY use this moisturizer. It's pricy compared to some of the other brands, but I find it's worth it. It lasts me a long time, as I only need to use a little at a time. It doesn't leave me feeling oily or like there's an extra layered on my skin, it just feels like it soaks into my skin instead of sitting on top, which is my #1 issue when trying new moisturizers. There's no scent or unnecessary additives so my skin doesn't get irritated. It's really lightweight. My only complaint is of how it feels when I wash my hands, it feels like I have a never-ending supply of soap on my hands when I wash them because the excess lotion is washing off. I purchased all the expensive name brand treatments, subscription, prescriptions. Nothing worked. It wasn't until I turned 25 that I started to get acne and I went on a product binge to try and save my skin. After a couple years of going broke and overloading my pores, I finally saw a dermatologist and I started Acutance. (Oof 😵‍💫. It worked) the only lotion my derma recommended that was budget friendly was Cereve. He said it wouldn't clog the pores, no scents, no harsh chemicals and was safe to use on my extremely sensitive skin. It's been 3 years since my Acutance treatment and I still only use Cereve. Good everyday moisturiser

This is a staple of mine. It’s fairly inexpensive and the bottle size is generous. I like the pump bottle as they are nice & hygienic. I use this moisturiser morning and night, it’s good to put on when you’re tired & maybe don’t have the energy to do a full skincare routine. I like to use this on damp or even wet skin straight out of the shower or bath. Then I apply another thin layer when my skin is dry. I’ve used oils underneath and over this also & it seems to pair well with just about anything, I’d imagine it may be good for slugging as well although I’ve yet to try it for this. This has a nice cooling effect on the skin. It’s not a luxurious moisturiser by any means but it does leave the skin nice and soft & has next to no fragrance, so I believe would be good ... MoreThis is a staple of mine. If I had to put my finger on the slight smell it has, its almost play-doh like if that’s makes sense. The consistency is quite thin, just bordering watery. I do use this on my body as well but it’s not my go to as it’s not quite thick enough but it does the job. I like CeraVe products, they last a long time so I also find them good value for money. They’re also a good introduction to skincare as the ingredients are quite simple so not as daunting as other skincare lines. All in all this is a good everyday moisturiser with some nice skin nourishing ingredients although I’m not sure of the actual levels of ceramides, this does make my skin look and feel nice and is very very gentle. My go to basic lotion

I bought this on a whim as I ran out of my facial oil. I'm glad I tried it even though I was a bit nervous as the idea of putting most lotions on my face seems disastrous between the scents and heavier oils. It doesn't break me out, isn't heavy, and gets the job done. Plus, it absorbs into the skin quickly. It doesn't feel like it's just sitting on your skin. I love that this doesn't do a whole bunch and it's the reason I purchase it which might sound counter productive but not at all when you use serums and cleansers aimed towards that kind of thing and just want a lotion you can use on the face/body. I break out on my face with products that contain oils or harsher ingredients, but this one moisturizes the skin and that's all I want. The hype is real

I was using another “HG” drugstore face lotion for years but the formula changed suddenly and I started having horrible breakouts. I have never in my life had an issue with breakouts so I knew it I had to find something asap. Desperate, I bought this after watching Dr Dray on YouTube and seeing how much she recommends this brand. In just three days of using this lotion, the redness around my nose and cheeks has all but vanished and my face feels supple and smooth. It’s super lightweight and not tacky, which is what I need in the summer. My breakouts have already started to improve as well. Extremely happy with this so far and hoping the improvement in my skin continues since this lotion is very affordable.
