CeraVe, SA Lotion For Rough & Bumpy Skin, 237 ml

This works but not for my specfic skin type..This product made my skin burn so bad. I felt like I was applying alcohol to an open cut. It does soften skin and remove dead skin cells leaving my skin looking radiant. My skin is dry and thin and I have eczema and contact dermatitis. I wouldn't recommend this product for individuals with very sensitive skin, similar to mine. Do a patch test first, to see if there is a reaction. This product also reduces the appearance of those tiny bumps that appear after shaving. Some people refer to it as chicken skin or strawberry legs. There's a medical term for the condition that starts with the letter K , I can't remember the name. The price is decent. The bottle isn't as big as I expected. I really liked this lotion but there were some catches for me. This lotion started to irritate my skin a lot and purge a little too harshly. It could be the way my skin is but I do get a little irritated from this. I wouldn’t say it’s unbearable though. It’s tricky how I feel because initially I feel hydrated and I know I’m getting exfoliating benefits but if I use it everyday it dries my skin way too much so i’d have to alternate with a different moisturizer which means another moisturizer to buy and have on hand. I feel they could’ve done better with this one, however, there’s no way it’s the worst out there or even close to being bad. Still has a nice texture, good ingredients, and ceramides. It did the job...but...

This product was my substitute choice since the the item I picked was out of stock. I had developed bumps on my hands and they became itcy and so I need something that addressed the bumps on my hands quickly. This lotion helped in bringing the bumps and itch down over the course of 3 weeks. But now what’s left is spots on my hands where the bumps were. What I don’t like is that this product has a paraben called “propylparaben” which is considered an endocrine disrupter. You can look up what that means, but it’s not good. Did it address the bumps? Yes. Do I use it as a daily lotion? No. I will reach for it…when needed.

KP Bumpy Skin Miracle

This lotion and face wash gave me my confidence back. I’m in my 30s with dry, sensitive skin, as well as KP on top of it. For the past few years my skin has been getting worse and worse. (I moved around and changed climates a lot). I ended up spending tons of money on different foundations and primers thinking that eventually one would look decent on my face, but my face always ended up looking textured and patchy. I tried Curology and that barely seemed to help and I haven’t been impressed with Ceraves other products in the past, but I ended up trying this on a whim after reading how SA helps KA and not only has it helped clear up my KA, it has helped with my acne scars and bumpy face texture. KP MIRACLE

I have KP on my upper arms and have been so self conscious about it for the longest time. I hate wearing anything that shows my upper arms because of the redness and little bumps KP causes me. I have tried so many different lotions/scrubs etc. for this and nothing has worked. I bought this because it's affordable and I thought why not, not really expecting any results. LET ME TELL YOU!!! I have been using this every night for 1 week that's it 7 days and the KP on my arms I'd say is already about 70% gone!!!! No smell, no reaction and I have very sensitive skin. I could not recommend this stuff enough. My arms have never been so clear or smooth. If you have KP I HIGHLY recommend!!!!!

Not for your face! Misleading packaging

Pretty disappointed. Cerave reaaally needs to specify which products are for face and which are for body. There's zero indication on the bottle that says it's for your body - it uses the same wording as most of cerave’s other products. So you can't tell when you buy the product in the store. I've been putting this on my face and wondering why my skin has been exponentially more oily even when only using a tiny bit. I saw the product in the store thinking it was for people like me and was like "yes! Something for textured faces!" But that's not the case and I've only found out once coming to the website. It doesn’t absorb into the skin well, and I’ve used who knows how many blotting sheets and paper towels trying to dry my face off from oils. I probably look like I’m constantly sweating to all the people I work with haha. So I'm giving this a solid one star for how bad it is on the face.BUT my arms are super rough and have lots of little bumps, so I’m going to try using it on my body like it’s intended and see what happens. I'm much more optimistic about how that will turn out since I've now heard that it's really good for that. Then I’ll write another review for that experience.

So Much Superior to AmLactin!

I've had KP for as long as I can remember and have tried a number of lotions for it. AmLactin is one I tried and tossed aside repeatedly due to the extreme greasiness of it and the awful odor (not even the ammonia but some other stench it has) and the fact that it did not work and worsened my KP. This Cerave lotion sinks right in and although it has a slight ammonium smell, it does not linger at all. It may well be the best lotion I have ever used just for keeping the skin soft. I wil update on how well it works for my KP as most lotions worsen it. This has not worsened it and quite the contrary, it makes my skin feel smooth without any feeling of grease ( I HATE being greasy). I think the salicylic acid lactic acid is an effective combo.

So good it's confusing

I'll admit that this one took me little off guard. I bought this mostly because I have issues with hyperpigmentation and because I have some acne scarring on my left cheek. I'm a little confused as to how this is even possible, but I SWEAR that I'm seeing noticeable results after just one application. Like, my skin has never been this even in its life. If I was a medieval peasant, I'd call it witchcraft, but fortunately I was born in the 21st century when this lotion exists.P.S. it feels a little greasy and residue-y after application but I've got VERY oily skin and it hasn't broke me out after I've slept with it on, so I think it's safe for people with oily skin!

Surprised!

I picked up this product along with Cereve Resurfacing Retinol Serum at Publix on a whim. I actually got it for a friend with cancerous thinning skin that's prone to scabbing. After two days of using this on my face even my hands began to heal, from painful splitting due to severe anemia. My face has had open wounds where my marionette lines are, they began at the end of my lips. They hadn't healed completely in almost a year. This was after applying triple antibiotic cream all day! I really can't tell what it's done to my normal skin tissue but it's cleared up my splitting, cracking painful skin issues. Even with blood transfusions to correct my hemoglobin levels nothing helped completely heal my lips or fingertips. This has helped immensely with KP on upper arms, bumps on my knees, and both back and chest acne. I've tried Amlactin, Vi derm, Neostrata and many other AHA lotions in the past but never a AHA/BHA combination. And what a combination it is...the very mild acne on my back and chest is much clearer (after a short-lived initial purge for a few days) and these horrible bumps on my thighs that keep popping up and leaving scars are not appearing anymore, plus the marks left by previous ones are fading too. KP on arms has responded quite well - perhaps 50% but I understand it takes time so will persist. Non-greasy, hydrates well and no fragrance which is a big plus for me.
