I chose to use this small amount as I find it quite thick on the skin otherwise and as it is coming in to these winter, I don’t need as much of a heavy moisturiser as I do in the winter months when my skin is much drier.The cream is very smooth and very thick, more of a heavy cream and very moisturising – locks in all of the moisture and products underneath. I find that in the morning I have a bit of a residue from the moisturiser that I didn’t used to get before I started using it. Not much of an issue as you use a cleanser in the morning.I found that the cream did not at all irritate my skin or give me any reactions. I usually don’t have sensitive skin though; however I would say this cream would be good for sensitive skin. I did trial a small amount of the product on my hand to ensure I got no reaction. I liked it because it also didn’t have any fragrances (at least that I could smell) or any colouring – it was just a white cream and I think it just lets the ingredients speak for themselves.One thing I would like would be if this little jar came with some sort of spoon or spatula so you didn’t have to use your fingertip or nail to get the cream out. I have had other night creams that include a little spoon on the underside of the lid to be able to keep the cream clean – I don’t like putting my nail in the cream and feeling as though I might not be keeping the cream nice and clean.I will continue using this product and would be happy to recommend it to friends and family!

I have used CeraVe’s other products ( the vitamin c and retinol serum and super happy with the results from those products ). Before using this product I would shower and cleanse and ensure my face was dry and free from any other product. The tub is easy to open. The product itself is very thick in texture and white in colour. It comes with no scent however the smell it does have is quite clinical and medicine like. I have sensitive skin but I do really like products with a nice scent and usually a scent won’t irritate my skin even though I have sensitive skin. I just prefer a scent as a preference but doesn’t change how the product performs. Even though it’s lovely and quite thick as a product when you put it on it actually spreads really well and I could feel it soaking nicely into my skin. I used the product on my face and around my neck area. The product was not greasy at all and allowed me to use less than what I thought I would need each night. The first couple of mornings my skin did feel refreshed, however after that my skin became tight and quite dry leaving patches of dry skin forming on my forehead and chin area. I believe my skin just had a reaction to one of the ingredients in the product possibly the peptide component which is so unfortunate for me. This was my outcome even thought the cream felt very luxurious onto the skin and it did take a few days before the dryness occurred. I stopped using it for a week and tried again, however the same issue occurred. Even though I received this product as a free trial with Beauty Crew I do think the price is so reasonable for a night cream and definitely in a good value for money range. CeraVe have put out some great products even if this one wasn’t right for me. Their range is widening and it’s great to see these type of products being developed that majority of skin types can use. If you haven’t tried their products I would definitely recommend to give them a go next time your looking for a product of this type.

They often include those all important ceramides! I'm so glad they have brought out this new line. I find this night cream in tandem with the vitamin C serum has really helped my skin. I'm definitely wearing less makeup or none at all in the last few weeks. I'm 39 so that's a real achievement for me. I also got asked for ID recently and had no makeup on so I'm definitely attributing that to my new skin treats.This feels rich and nourishing but not greasy. It's kind of like those matte mousse foundations (obviously not pigmented).Some nights I do prefer something lighter or an oil instead for example but this is not shiny or greasy so it's amazing that it's so nourishing at the same time. It's a real night treat that's for sure. What I've noticed the most is it's basically worked on hydration, rough texture, tight/dry skin but it has many other benefits including evening out skin tone and reducing redness. I would consider repurchasing this one along with the vitamin C serum. They are my faves in the 3 I tried.

I'm in love with the night cream. I was looking for something to help with dryness I would wake up with in the morning. This product delivered that and more! Not only did it help with dry skin but it gives my skin the nicest glow when I wake up. It's super thick which can be a little intimidating but rubs in non greasy and actually leaves an almost matte like finish. It also leaves your skin feeling super soft after applying it at night- I seriously sat in bed for like an hour just feeling how soft my skin was after applying it for the first time. I was looking for something to help with dryness I would wake up with in the morning. This product delivered that and more! Not only did it help with dry skin but it gives my skin the nicest glow when I wake up. It's super thick which can be a little intimidating but rubs in non greasy and actually leaves an almost matte like finish. It also leaves your skin feeling super soft after applying it at night- I seriously sat in bed for like an hour just feeling how soft my skin was after applying it for the first time. I love CeraVe products, I don't know what I would do if they ever went out of business!!
For context, I have been using some CeraVe products for about a year now, the SA cleanser (as body cleanser), the body moisturizer and the therapeutic hand cream with no issues. I also heard a lot of great things about CeraVe which is why I started trying their products. Last year, from May to Dec 2022 I used their facial PM moisturizer and it caused a reaction on my face repeatedly so I stopped in Dec 2022. Since the PM lotion was the only one I had a bad experience with so far, I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and try a different face product from CeraVe. Since it's winter and more dry now, I chose the Skin Renewing night cream. I started using it around mid Dec 2022, and as of writing this review, have decided to stop using it. the cream is more like a balm, very thick, thicker than I expected, and difficult to spread. I bought this tub from Walmart in store. for the few weeks that I've been using it regularly at night, I've noticed that while it smoothed/softened my face the next morning, because it is so thick, it triggered heat rashes on my face. I am prone to heat rashes/sweat rashes so this is definitely too thick for me, even in the winter. on nights when the heater turned on more frequently, I noticed the heat rashes would be worse. several times, I woke up in the middle of the night a few times, to itchy bumps on my face and heat irritation. Because of the heat rashes, my skin would have some aftermath the next morning and it would become flakey and sensitive. Unfortunately, as much as I really wanted this to work for me because I like the niacinamide and peptides, as it did soften/smooth my skin, it's just too occlusive for my skin type, and it's not worth using if I keep getting heat rashes from it. For those who are able to use this, it is certainly a cost-effective option.
