Our sauerkraut is made traditionally, in the home of sauerkraut. It’s simply organic cabbage, slowly fermented in its own juice with a bit of salt, and without the addition of starter cultures. It’s heat stabilised, yet retains around 1-1.5% lactic acid. Our sauerkraut is made traditionally, in the home of sauerkraut. Why did you pack a tiny item in a huge box? This is not environmentally friendly. Such a waste of cardboard. Shipper service needs to improve.

Value for Money:exceptional!\n Flavour:Not too bad actually 😄\n\nVery tightly packed; cabbage well shredded without chunks which is great! Goes well with salad.\n\nBought 2 jars, and will probably reorder once finished. \n⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Taste good. Just dun take too much at a go coz salty. Such big bottle can last quite a while for me. First time open is a challenge… I use hot water to heat the cap to expand it a bit, then butter knife to ply from cap side to introduce air… once u hear a pop then can open.

Oh, I LOVE this brand of sauerkraut. Just the right amount of tartness - I find most brands too sour and too hard crunchy. This one is the closest I can find to the sauerkraut served at Paulaner Brauhaus.\n\nI eat it with a piece of fried gammon ham and mashed potatoes with truffle salt. All available from Redmart.
Value for Money:ok Flavour:yet to try\n\nGood expiry date. Thank you seller for making sure. Plus the container wrapped to prevent from damage.
Repeated order. Healthy and tastes good. Another good alternative besides the usual kimchi.
It tastes pasteurised, and Ceres have confirmed to me that after being fermented in its own juice, this sauerkraut is then lightly pasteurised to remove all probiotics and other bacteria as part of the canning/jarring process. I'm don't know whether the B vitamins and vitamin K created during lacto-fermentation are able to survive pasteurisation.Do not buy this if you are looking for probiotic raw sauerkraut. You will need to buy that labelled raw from the refrigerator of a speciality shop, or ferment your own.
This sauerkraut is lightly pasteurised, so has no probiotic benefits, but it works fine if you just want to add some extra vegetables to your meal or are out of fresh veggies. This sauerkraut can be eaten warm and mixed into soups. Ceres have confirmed to me that this product is lightly pasteurised so that it doesn't need to be refrigerated until after opening, and can therefore be safely kept in the pantry until the use by date, like any other standard product. For those of you who are new to fermented vegetables and are looking to balance gut bacteria or candida overgrowth, please note that natural 'Probiotic' sauerkraut is always stored in the fridge (even before opening) and has 'RAW' on the labels to indicate that it has not been pasteurised.
when this arrived i was surprised at the size of the jar, product is well priced compared to comparative brands on the market. and it tastes so good! i've recently been consuming a lot of kimchi and was looking for a less spicy alternative. bonus of sauerkraut is that it makes a perfect zingy sandwich filling. love it with alfalfa sprouts grated carrot and crushed falafel on sourdough but as a side to roasted potatoes it is also great :-)
