Cetaphil Daily Hydrating Lotion, 3 fl oz

It's okay....... I was honestly really disappointed in this face moisturizer from Cetaphil. I got it both with and without sunscreen and it was just really watered-down feeling, smelled weird, and sat on top of my skin. I bought it when I started Accutane because of the convenient size, added SPF, and also due to my great experience with the Cetaphil cleansers. I ended up returning the first one and currently need to return this one with SPF. It made my skin look and feel so oily, didn't actually help with my dry skin much, and the smell even overpowered my perfume! I was driving with my boyfriend and we were searching for the bad smell for 20 minutes until we realized it was this moisturizer. I love Cetaphil, but I don't love this moisturizer.

Amazing

I have used Cetaphil products since my teenage years so when the new line of skincare came out, I had to try it. This is now my second bottle. I do have sensitive skin and usually, during the winter months I suffer from dry spots and my skin can get flakey and irritated. I just love the texture and the way it sits on my skin. Since incorporating this into my daily routine, my skin looks plump and hydrated and I don't feel the need to use heavier creams.

Culprit of my Irritated Skin!

I recently discovered that this moisturizer was the part of my skin care routine that was irritating me. I thought it would be my new serum (versed’s new hydrating serum) or even my new toner (versed baby cheeks), as I had been using this moisturizer for years. Every time I blamed another product until now as I finally had time to sit and really feel the effects of every part of my routine. Voila! This was the culprit, even though it’s advertised to sensitive skin types! :( I recommend the other two products though ;)

Does not add grease/oil to my face

I needed something to help my face not be so dry after having oily skin for years. I now have transitioned to a flaky, dry skin and was looking for something to help just my face, so I didn't want a full body lotion. I was familiar with the Cetaphil brand, so I thought this might work for me. And it does! This lotion is thin and absorbs quickly into my skin. It did not leave a greasy or oily feeling and my skin was much better even after just one use.

This product does deliver its' promises of being gentle, very lightweight, not clogging pores or causing breakouts (and my extremely oily skin gets clogged easily with almost any product out there)... Oh, and it also mentions 'quick absorption' which I find very true! 1-2 minutes max and my skin is dry. Completely dry. as if I didn't put anything at all; quite different from other lotions and moisturisers I've tried that leave slight residue. I love it! Good

Very good very gentle, not harsh in the skin. Feels so fresh, like you just put cold water in the skin. The texture is so nice it's like gel but also water-like. I have oily skin and acne and it does help with that but it's definitely moistures the akin without residue. Good for the summer season. The size is great lasts a good time, quality is amazing, I use it mainly in the morning as benefits not being oily rather gel-like. Also I have sensitive skin and it does not make my skin red so great!

Great Day Time / Not Great Night Time

This is a very light weight cream. Feels rather water based which is great for my combination acne prone skin. I also have very sensitive skin with eczema on my nose. It does not irritate me or inflame my eczema at all. It hydrates my skin very well for day time use. I don’t notice any fragrance and nothing burns so that’s a huge plus. Highly recommend for day time use. I wouldn’t recommend this for night time use as I try to go for a heavier cream for night time routine. If you’re like me that needs deep hydration for overnight then this does not do the trick.

Great for dry skin

I have tried quite a few different drug store facial moisturizers and this is by far the best for me. I have very dry and sensitive skin. It turns pink easy (one light scratch and it stays pink for 15-20 minutes) and it flakes off. When I use this it gives me very minor irritation (a bit tingly) that goes away in a few seconds. It feels very light and absorbs quickly. It leaves the skin glowing. Also something I really love that I have not been fortunate enough to avoid with other moisturizers is it does not clump up if you rub your face. It locks in really well!

But these reviews arnt very detailed and i want to give everyone a honest opinion of mine because nothing i found in these reviews were usefull, so perhaps this helps. (please keep in mind i paired this product with vaseline)My skin combination is severley dry, sensitive, and sometimes oily on my nose area. This product is very lightweight and watery but it even says so on the packaging. i was skeptical at first but it really does evenly and quickly absorb into your skin. A pro about the watery consistency is that you dont have to use much. 2-3 full pumps MAX. Though a con is it only really leaves a moisturized feeling for abt 12 hours, though your skin doesnt start to feel dry until after abt 24 hours. I do also want to mention that I've had really bad acne recently and im not sure if it was this product that helped, but after i started using this my skin instantly became healthier. I can tell my skin's barrier has became stronger, and my acne cleared up. like i said im not sure if this product helped with the acne but i do know it has helped strengthen my skins barrier and protective layer. Please do keep in mind this is my skin, and everyones skin is different and may react differently.Also if you have made it this far, i wanna give you a pro tip: if you have severley dry skin or even mildly dry skin, try avoiding moisturizers with Salicylic acid (this is an ingredient that is used mostly in cleansers and drys your skin out).
