When I don't need the heavy duty relief of Eucerin basic cream, I use this. Like now, when it's getting warmer out. I use it on my face - no fragrance so I don't get watery eyes and sneeze every minute or so - no irritating chemicals, or none that irritate my terribly sensitive skin. And it doesn't have that substance that's in almost every other lotion, the chemical (I think it's a silicone) that allows the manufacturers to claim: Lasts For 24 Hours!!! I don't care for a lotion that last for all that time, because they are sticky on the skin and I can live without that. I like one that absorbs, and if I need to reapply, I do so. It's not a big deal, and it makes my skin feel clean, not sticky. It's fine under make up, it absorbs and softens, and that's all I want from a lotion. It's a great product, and worth buying.

I love my “Cetaphil” and it’s been years now using it and it is a gentle, effective, and versatile option for skin hydration.

I have sensitive skin, and have been using Cetaphil my entire life. I was VERY stocked up on products that have lasted me the past 2-3 years, since Cetaphil underwent its reformulations. Well, I'm starting to run out, and decided to try the new formulations to see if I can transition to these easily. And - they are not made for sensitive skin. Specifically, I started using the new Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion. I didn't have an immediate reaction, so was excited that this might work for me. But after a few days, my skin started getting really red, had a constant burning sensation, was slightly itchy, and I started having breakouts all over my cheeks, forehead and a bit on my chin. I went back to the old formulation that I still have a little bit of, and - my skin is back to being perfect, calm and clear. PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD FORMULAS! Or at least have an *actual* sensitive line. All of these "active ingredients" are trendy and not great for so, so many people that had been using Cetaphil products religiously for years. I've been scouring beauty forums, Reddit, etc. to find products that work for people in the same boat as me, and I see hundreds of posts about how people have had bad reactions to the new Cetaphil formulations. I hope Cetaphil will re-intro the old formulations at some point.

Ahhh! I don’t know why I stopped using this moisturizer. I have post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation from using St. Ives (WARNING: It is NOT good for your skin) and I started using it every day, but I was using the Avocado one and didn’t think anything of it. I’ve never had acne except for Milia when I was a teenager and it came right out with facials and extractions. I can even go a day or two without washing my face and wearing makeup, and still not have a bad reaction. But-I tried everything under the sun to make my tear marks go away, but they are very stubborn and I’m only brave enough to be at work around hundreds of people without makeup when I am dead tired and needed to sacrifice makeup for sleep. But I noticed that my skin was feeling a little bit sensitive ... MoreAhhh! I don’t know why I stopped using this moisturizer. But I noticed that my skin was feeling a little bit sensitive the past day or two (I hadn’t washed my face) and it almost felt irritated. So I decided to do some research, and lo and behold! It took me back to this trusty guy. It’s thick enough to use as a chest and neck cream, and I use it at night on my face, or when I’m not wearing makeup. So happy I went back to this. Maybe my tear marks will go away!
I have used this product for years with no problems. Finally used up all my stock and picked up more. With the very first application I could feel the difference. The new product is heavier, VERY sticky and stays heavy and sticky. Feels pretty gross. But that's not the worst part. Apparently they added Avocado oil to the formula. Avocado oil is a known skin irritant that approximately 30% of the population will have an allergic reaction to, as I did. I did reach out to the company at 1866-735-4137 as suggested. The phone was answered by a lovely call center woman who was clearly working from home as evidenced by background noise. Not sure why the company would change their time honored and loved formula to something so awful. Hopefully they will take a page from ... MoreI have used this product for years with no problems. I'm so upset about the formula change. I had been using a huge bottle for a while and finally ran out, so I bought a new bottle of the exact same kind like I've been doing for a decade. For about a year now, I've been dealing with cheek and jaw acne that will not go away - painful cystic acne and tiny bumps that make my skin feel rough. I blamed hormones, new lotion, the weather, etc., and have been going heavy on the acne treatments and finishing off with this lotion every time because it's non-comedogenic and tried-and-true, right? Nope. Turns out the second ingredient (excluding water) is isopropyl palmitate, which is a 4/5 on the comedogenic scale. This whole time I've been crying about why my skin suddenly got so bad in my 30s, wearing makeup to cover up the ... MoreI'm so upset about the formula change. This whole time I've been crying about why my skin suddenly got so bad in my 30s, wearing makeup to cover up the red bumps, buying products to fight acne that just kept appearing, I've been unknowingly slathering on the product that's causing it because Cetaphil decided to change its formula for no good reason. Why did you change the ingredients so drastically when this has been so many people's go-to for sensitive skin for decades?? I'm assuming the ingredients saved y'all money, but you're losing customers. Have fun with that.
