This Stud Finder is Amazing. Works Excellent, Super strong Rare Earth Magnets , Level is Adjustable/Turns Vertical/Horizontal, Awesome Size, Lightweight, Super Durable, and, a Great Price for what your getting. Get at least one if not a couple of them. Highly Recommended.

This is the best magnetic stud finder that I know of and use on the market. Who needs to have a larger battery operating unit that is more prone to get broken and stop working in their tool bag. People often think it takes to long to find a stud with a magnet or need to know where the edges of them are but that isn't so with this unit. It has strong magnets and holds itself very well to the walls and ceilings. Mark your center points in the right direction of the studs and joists in a couple spots and you're good to go.

I considered an electronic device but decided to try this product first. These are strong magnets in a convenient, sturdy plastic case. Stud finder? Not exactly. They obviously won't detect wood, but will do a great job of finding metal screws that are in a wooden stud and this accomplishes the task in most cases. I heard electronic devices are a bit flaky. They also cost much more, need batteries, can break. This product did the job for me, glad I got it.

I needed a stud finder to hang a heavy mirror, but never owned one before. I thought they all came in a battery version, so I was pleasantly surprised to find this magnetic one. Much smaller and easier to store and will always be useable at a moment's notice. Very pleased.
Works exactly as described. This small handheld stud finder includes a level for ensuring an even line. You simply slide it on the wall until its magnets start becoming attracted to the metal nails in the studs. You continue slide toward the magnetic attraction until the stud finder sticks to the wall on its own using its strong magnets. Definitely worth the buy.
Freaking awesome. It sticks right to the wall wherever there's a nail in a stud. Very easy to use, did not even need to use the "string"/pendulum method proposed in some other comments. Maybe only necessary if your sheetrock is thicker or the studs have smaller nails?
Get more than one so you can gift to your buddys. There all gona want one and might as well since fairly cheap. Thats how i got mine theew buddy that thought was to kool and had to share.
I can't believe how simple and effective this little gadget is. I bought 3 more (one for each toolbox and one for my brother in law). I've used just about every type of stud finder out there and none compare to this... And no electronics/batteries to worry about!!! There's an incredibly powerful magnet inside (keep away from credit cards and phones!!!) that simply finds a nail/screw that was used to attach drywall to the stud and BAM! There's your stud. It's powerful enough to hang on it's own, the little bubble level guides are icing on the cake of this seemingly perfect product. YOU WILL NOT REGRET PURCHASING!!!
I've used a sonic stud-finder for a long time, and it's just not reliable with older walls or repaired/modified ones. This little guy tells you where the nails are! Perfect. you mark a few, you know exactly where the studs are. It's a powerful magnet too, so you can't get it near ANYTHING electronic or like a disk drive, or a USB stick, etc. I put it down on a metal filing cabinet and had to struggle to get it unstuck; I've put it in a canvas mini-flashlight case, it lessens the magnetics. Well made and sturdy, this is all I'll ever need for putting up shelves and pictures and so on. Highly recommended.
After trying to work out the stud placement with a 3 in 1 electronic stud finder (very frustrating and wildly inaccurate) I wasn't expecting much better with this; how wrong was I! First test use on a bit of metal that I already knew about, the magnet almost leapt out of my hand, it is that strong! Then the ultimate test: the dodgy wall the electronic finder had trouble with. Wow, the magnet went straight to the stud and stuck itself to the wall. Turned out I have a steel stud going the whole length of wall, the electronic finder couldn't work that out. Highly recommend for pre-drilling into walls. In fact, invaluable.
