Purchased for the ATA GDO-P as it specifies it will work with this unit.Spent 45mins following all the instructions and using the videos but could not get it to work even reset the whole opener and had to programme the other remotes again which worked only this one didnt

Purchased this as an extra remote after looking at the compatibility chart. The remote didn’t do anything. Tried multiple times. Waste of $50

Same as other reviews, bought this because it had the exact model for my garage motor and won't program to the controller. My package was already opened so I'm guessing I bought one that was returned and I will be doing the same.

I purchased this today and found it very easy to programme to both of our garage doors.Definately recommend this remote.
Fantastic remote, absolutely love it and it works perfectly on both roller doors on our house (one Vicway VR650 and the other Universal GDO-6V3 - see pictures attached). The remote itself is compact but not to small. It hangs neatly on a key ring or from the wiper control in the car for those who don’t like carrying it around in they’re pocket. The blue LED is great to identify if the button has been pushed properly and the buttons also have symbols you can feel when searching to help find the right button in the dark. I have set each of the buttons to open a different roller door on my house and it works perfectly.PAIRING TIP FOR UNIVERSAL DOOR CONTROLS: It lost 1-star because the video for Universal Roller Door was not clear that you needed to wait for the ... MoreFantastic remote, absolutely love it and it works perfectly on both roller doors on our house (one Vicway VR650 and the other Universal GDO-6V3 - see pictures attached). The remote itself is compact but not to small. I have set each of the buttons to open a different roller door on my house and it works perfectly.PAIRING TIP FOR UNIVERSAL DOOR CONTROLS: It lost 1-star because the video for Universal Roller Door was not clear that you needed to wait for the roller door to start moving before you push the button again to set the pairing. The video implies you need to press the button a second time (last step in process) “WHEN THE BLUE LED STARTS FLASHING” but this is not entirely accurate. You actually need to leave the LED flashing until it pairs with the unit AND THE ROLLERDOOR STARTS MOVING(which takes about 10 seconds) THEN PRESS THE BUTTON to set the pairing. Pushing the button before the door starts moving stops the pairing process. It took me 6-8 pairing attempts before I realised the video and written instructions in the packet weren’t clear on this.
bought this today, setup took less than 2 minutes, works a treat (better then the factory one)
I have two of these and they've been working fine. The programming procedure is not as easy as the official remote control for my garage door opener. The official remote for my garage door is cheap plasticky rubbish that quickly disintegrated with use, the Chamberlain universal remote is much more solid.I would have given it four stars, but when I tried to buy a third remote it just wouldn't program in. No idea why and Chamberlain ended off telling me that these remotes are finicky and to bring it back to Bunnings and get an official remote for my opener instead. Not exactly a vote of confidence in their own product! So, I would recommend trying this remote if your opener is compatible and if your official remote has fallen to bits. But don't expect miracles from it - it might not work even if it is supposed to. As I say, I have two of these working great, but my third one didn't.
Be sure to check compatibility before purchase, as I did notice a lot of opened packages at my local store due to returns. I have an older (~10 years) Australia Door Works branded OL4 garage door opener, and can confirm that it works with it! Super easy to set up. The BOSS OL4 can also be branded Steel-Line or BOSS, but this remote will work with that model. Follow the instructions clearly, and you'll be done in less than 2 minutes.
First one I got had a flat battery. Changed battery and tried multiple times but could only get it to work intermittently.Went back and changed it but still had the same issue
This is a universal remote, so it won't 'just work' like the one that came with your door opener. The instructions need to be followed to the letter. It took me five tries before it came together.Once it's linked to the door it's worth it. It works much better than the type that came with the door opener. Good range and works with a single press. It feels solid and should be OK if it's dropped every now and then.
