This is a great, middle-of-the-road foundation formula that would suit most skin types. I'm shade B20, which does fall perfectly in the centre of the neutral scale. It's neither too creamy, nor too slippy and does impart an incredibly natural, satin finish. It'll cover up redness or discoloration easily while still letting your skin breathe and it doesn't look heavy or mask-like. I find it has good longevity. When I had combination skin, it neither drew attention to any dry patches, nor made me look like a oil slick by mid-afternoon. The texture of this Chanel foundation is definitely on the thinner side, which I prefer this time of year especially. Healthy Glow Foundation Hydration and Longwear

This product was first recommended to me by a Myer Store (Perth) CHANEL staff member, many years ago. I have been using it ever since. Only once (over a year ago) did I stray and use another brand. I did not like the texture and feel of the other brand and quickly returned to Chanel. Unfortunately, the Myer Store didn't have this Healthy Glow in stock. So I went to DJs and purchased it there. This year, happily for me, Myers had it in stock. I recommend both the Healthy Glow and Myers to friends and family. Thank you to the lovely sales assistant (?Jane)who helped me.

I agree with the other review that said that it doesn't stay. I only had it on for like 2 hours but it faded on my face. It's Autumn, so I'm not even that oily and the temps aren't hot. Also any time I accidentally touched my face, it got all over my fingers and erased the foundation. I get that light foundations usually don't have the chemicals that make matte foundations more transfer-resistant, but I shouldn't have to make sure nothing touches my face even the slightest bit all day, not if you claim to be long-wearing.It also just didn't look nice enough regardless of its flaws to be worth the price. Love the texture and shade, wish it contained SPF

I’m really happy that I discovered this foundation (after my previous one from a different company was discontinued). The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because it doesn’t contain an SPF, which I would have preferred. I’m very particular about how a foundation feels on my skin and this one feels just right to me - it has medium coverage without feeling too heavy or too watery and it feels silky rather than too matte. Finding the correct shade is just as important as the texture. I’m fair skinned and the BD01 was an almost perfect match for me. It goes on smoothly over my moisturizer (which does have an SPF in it). I tested other foundations with an SPF, but couldn’t find one that matched my skin tone or felt as good as this Chanel moisturer.

Ok, it took me a while to make this foundation work for me, but once I paired it with the right moisturizer and setting powder for my skin type it instantly became my all-time favorite foundation. I had used it a few times prior to this and it initially looked beautiful but separated a few hours after application, which i now realize was due to the moisturizer and setting powder i was using. (Tatcha's water cream was a bit too heavy for my oily skin with this foundation, and Too faced's new setting powder though beautiful also added to much moisture). I have not really loved a Chanel foundation since the original Vitalumiere which I loved. But first they discontinued my shade and then the product itself and I never found anything that compared. I have always struggled with shades in Chanel and they do tend to very greatly from one formula to another. I do not like matte foundation but I also don't prefer something that looks wet or greasy. This product is a great balance. It looks fresh with a lit from within glow. It is comfortable and also quite long wearing. This has to be the best foundation I’ve tried since the MUFE foundation for face & body was discontinued years ago. It applies so incredibly beautifully with a brush or blender, and most importantly, it LASTs! I can vouch for this since I’m a flight attendant and work in extremely hostile environments (AKA drier than the desert recycled airplane air for a minimum of 10+ hours per flight) lol. No irritation, breakouts, or any kind of funkiness. This is NOT a heavy or full coverage foundation, which is exactly what I prefer. I suppose if you reapply more layers you can build coverage?
