99 Pirate Classic Color!! I liked it a lot
This was my first time trying the Chanel Rouge Allure Luminous Intense Lip Color. I was looking for a red color that would wear well AND wear away well, while being flattering on my fair, cool skin tone. I am always in the first three colors for foundations. That said, I liked 99 Pirate a lot and find it very flattering on my skin tone. The lipstick wears pretty comfortably and has a lot of color payoff. There is no crumbling or white inner, gunky, circle. This is not a deep red, more of a poppy red on me, definitely more blue in tone.... Show more

best lipstick ever
The description is 100% accurate where it says "an ultrafine, melt-away, second-skin-like texture." The texture of this lipstick is unbeatable. It doesn't feel heavy or gloopy on your lips. In fact I can't feel it at all. This lipstick in shade 188 Secret is my all-time favorite, holy grail lipstick. One light swipe and it's a my-lips-but-better shade. Apply with a heavier hand and it becomes the rich burgundy you see on the model photos. A multi tasking lipstick! I have even dabbed this on my cheeks as blush in a pinch. It definitely fades throughout the day, so you need to reapply, but it fades beautifully to a lip stain type finish. And it doesn't leave my lips cracked or dry like other lipsticks. It feels nourishing and softening. My only complaint is that I ... MoreThe description is 100% accurate where it says "an ultrafine, melt-away, second-skin-like texture." Chanel Rouge Allure Lipstick in Sensibilite
Absolutely love Chanel lipstick! So smooth and conditioning. The subtle scent of rose water is exquisite. The color "Sensibilite" is a very feminine pinky peach which I adore with my pale olive complexion and golden brown hair with blonde hilights. I will be purchasing many more colors of this divine lipstick.... Show more

Crazy about this
I got Subtile 211 but could've bought Pirate (cool tone bright red) and Angelique (luminous warm red pink) as well, and probably will end up doing so because all the shades are spectacular. I enjoyed these more than the Chanel Duo Tenue stains, which I found too dry. This is really the perfect balance of moisture, pigment and satin finish. A+++++... Show more

Definitely lives up to the claims
Beautifully pigmented and leaves a stain on the lips after hours of wear. I ended up getting more in different shades, such was the good impression. Soft on the lips, not drying and doesn't need many swipes to build up colour. Packaging is the usual Chanel quality.... Show more

Hey, not bad....
I purchased #51 Legendaire. The color on the website is pretty much the same color as the lipstick. On my lips it's red with a touch of coral/orange...Not too orange, just subtle orange with the red. Lipstick stays put on my lips with no travelling or smearing off the lips. Since I'm older, there is a little dryness and some lip line settlement. Not a deal breaker. My lipstick has been on for two hours, ate breakfast, and still the lipstick remains. Not as vibrant yet it's there.... Show more

Incredible
This is amazing. The color is gorgeous and feels weightless. As the other review said, maybe a little drying, but not bad at all. I bought #46 Magnetique. It's a solid dark pink that looks bold yet soft. I am going back for another shade. It's not cheap, but it's also not cheap, if you get my drift. It goes on so smooth and even, that I don't need a mirror to apply.... Show more

IT WAS OPENED WHEN I RECEIVED IT!
I am soooo upset I wish I can upload pictures here to show you all! When I got the package the box of the item was OPENED. the lipstick itself was OPENED. To top it off the whole top of the lipstick was smushed. Like if you popped up the lipstick and just put the top of it on and closed it. NEVER AGAIN FROM ULTA.... Show more

not for sensitive lips
There’s some ingredient(s) in here that my lips do not agree with. It’s incredibly drying. Even with a lip balm underneath, the lipstick for me is still violently drying. The formula isn’t very creamy, it’s thin and cheap, my revlon lipsticks are more luxurious than this. The colors are absolutely stunning but unfortunately this particular lipstick formula is extremely damaging. My lips were peeling for days. Also the packaging feels super light and cheap. It isn’t the same feel as their blush packaging. This packaging looks on point, but the moment you pick it up it just feels cheap. I love Chanel beauty products but unfortunately this particular lipstick formula did not work out for me. If you are allergic to the fresh sugar lip balms and it causes an irritation ... I love Chanel beauty products but unfortunately this particular lipstick formula did not work out for me. If you are allergic to the fresh sugar lip balms and it causes an irritation to your lips, this lipstick is very similar. Those two lip products have very similar negative effects on my poor lips. Returned. I’ll just stick with Chanel’s lip glosses as those are not damaging to my lips and also have nice color selections and shine. Currently only own the noir gloss from the limited noir et blanc collection which I hear is the most similar to their former lip gloss formula.... Show more

the good and the not so good.
The good is the color Subtile 211. On me it's a reddish/brown. Reminiscent of the 1990's colors I loved. No feathering and very minimal transfer. The not so good: There is nothing vibrant, intense or luminous with the lipstick. No shine or satin feeling. Feels more like a matte and somewhat drying. The lipstick did settle into my lip lines. As the description states, "melt away" and that is exactly what it does, melts away with talking, eating or doing absolutely nothing. No way was this long lasting. Maybe a little more longevity than the Chanel Bloom lipsticks. I also tried color 198 Nuance which was more of a mauve brown on me. Returning Nuance and will stick with Subtile for now.... Show more
