Chanel’s nail polish may not be perfect but it’s damn near close. They have consistently been on trend/set the trend when it comes to color. Honestly, if I could afford it, I would own every single color I could get my hands on. Their reds are THE BEST (I actually happen to be wearing Dragon in this photo, which was discontinued, much to my dismay). I could go on and on about various colors — there are just too many classics (Vamp, Particulier, Pirate, Ballerina, etc.) to dwell on. I look forward to each new season with great anticipation, and know I’ll see imitations 3-6 months down the road. I have one major issue with these polishes, though, and that’s the brush. While so many other brands have gone to a slightly larger rounded brush, Chanel continues to use a straight skinny brush. There’s another well-known brand that made the switch in the last year or two, and I realized recently that I’ve been gravitating towards that brand more and more due simply to the ease of application with that shape. That’s one bandwagon I hope Chanel jumps on.... Show more

A new favorite
I needed an off-white that would flatter my fair, cool skin tones (I'm a "Summer" with blue eyes and silver hair), and White Silk is the perfect shade. Not too white, not too beige, but something in between that reads as softly neutral. It was easy to apply, with no streaking. I applied two coats, and then a no-name, hard, shiny top coat. I let things dry and set for around an hour and a half. So far my manicure has lasted five full days, with no signs yet of needing a refresh. Highly recommended.... Show more

Cha-Nail Polish For The Win
I bought my polish in color Ballerina. Even with unmanicured nails to just try on, it looked super classy and shiny. I got a couple days of wear without chips but by day 3 it was clearly wearing.I purchased the Le Gel topcoat and went to get a mani pedi at my local nail salon and I am loving this look! Even the nail tech was complimenting how pretty the color was. In addition, she said specifically the Le Gel was much shinier than OPI's top coat that they generally use (she compared the two on her own hand and decided shes going to try out Chanel colors now).Overall I am sold on this nail polish. It is worth the price for me, especially since it looks like gel for so much less and dries quicker and harder than other polishes I've tried.... Show more

Chips within hours
This color is absolutely beautiful, however upon painting, my nails without even washing dishes or cleaning or doing anything hard on my hands, the paint chipped off with an a couple hours. I tried it twice and had the same result both times regardless of the base and topcoat I used also, when I removed the remainder of the polish that hadn’t shipped off it had stained my natural nails the dark blue I can’t get it off. I’ve tried about three times and my nails are just going to be blue until they grow out, I guess.... Show more

Disapointed
Was so excited by the colour of this varnish. But, seriously what is the point of the varnish being a beautiful pink colour then when you apply, it's just a boring nude colour. When I first saw this colour I thought Chanel had finally replaced a discontinued colour from some years ago 'May' but alas, no. Can't tell you how disappointed I am. The standard of polish is great, so if you want a muted pink it might be the one for you.... Show more

love…
Why nobody is talking about this nail polish? The quality is amazing. Regular polish that looks like gel polish. Very fast drying, ( like 30 seconds) not like pharmacy regular polish that you need to wait like 3 hours to dry. Long lasting. At least for me lasted for 7 days. The gel polish destroyed my nails so they need a break. I found these and im so happy. I think i will never get back to gel again. Sorry but i have to tell you that im a nail tech and i know that gels and uv light are not good for your nails/skin. I recommend you to this nail polish. You won’t regret.... Show more

luxury item for sure but it is perfection
I have been looking for an opaque (not matte) whiteish nail polish. I’ve purchased a few from OPI and ESSIE at a fraction of this Chanel one but they are either too sheer or the more opaque ones have been very streaky. I do my own nails and as you can see I’m no expert but I am so impressed with his polish: color is exactly what I was looking for with only 2 coats, it applied very smoothly with no streaks and it dried very fast leaving zero bubbles after applying top coat (from OPI). I purchased white silk and the only con (aside from the luxury price tag) is that I like it so much I may get another color.... Show more

Marketing Issue
I’ve purchased several colors of this polish, assuming that I was one of those people that got “the bad batch”. Each time I manicure my nails with Chanel polish (color, base/top coat) — whether it be at home or at the salon — it peels off within a day, certainly after a shower. I have the pleasure of owning several of their leather goods, all of which are incredible. However, I believe this product is something just to have on the vanity table for those interested in that aesthetic. No hate! I just think they have a target market and the company may not have been committed to the quality that one would expect to receive from a Chanel product otherwise. The colors are exceptional, but I will only be buying for events; I.e., situations in which the polish does not ... My new favourite
This shade (181) looks nothing like the pictures on any websites and now I know why - it is impossible to photograph! Luckily for me I saw it on a woman working on a Chanel counter and asked what it was. It is stunning. It is almost opaque in certain lights and almost pink in others. It has that beautiful rainbow like effect of when oil is in water, but with pastels pinks/purples. It is my new favourite shade and just perfect for summer. Like all my Chanel shades I use a base coat, do three thin layers and then a top coat and I see no chips for at least four days. It may last longer but I have to remove it for work so have only been able to wear it for four days. I would not have purchased this based on the website photos and am just so grateful that I saw it on ... Skieuse is the perfect nude shade in my opinion
As the other review says, it's tricky to assess colour from the photo. After seeing this recommended in a recent newspaper article about the current trend for non-manicured manicured nails, I took a bit of a risk by ordering without trying it first but I love it. I applied a single coat over a clear varnish, not a proper base coat and it lasted incredibly well - a week plus.As the owner of a number of nude shades which aren't quite what I'd hoped, this is just what I was looking for....
