Lily of the valley is one of my favorite notes in a perfume and this is a lovely combo of that with a touch of vibrant citrus. It’s light and delicately sweet without being cloying, and an ideal pick for warm days where you want an ethereal scent that isn’t going to make an entrance before you do.

I LOVE how grassy, green, and clean this scent is. This is one of Chanel's more approachable, younger scents which I love. I think they've done a wonderful job with reaching a younger woman that wants a sophisticated, clean smell but doesn't want the heaviness of the classic Chanel eau du parfums. In a blind nose test, I would have never guessed this scent was from Chanel. It's unexpected and bright, which I really love. My only complaint is that there's very little lasting power. Please Chanel, make this a parfum!

So all three fragrances are nice, but here is my run down:1.) I like Biarritz the best - it is fresh and sunny. At first it is very green, but give it half an hour and wait until it dries down to experience a delicate and beautiful note. I really like the blend of this one and will be cooling on hot summer days.2.) Deauville is more unisex to me - the woods make it more refined and dressy...more a chypre and stronger than Biarritz. Slightly less sweet with green/woody prominence.3.) The Venise is more evening/winter....lovely with the tonka which adds a vanilla note, but a bit much for work days or when you want a lighter, brighter scent.I selected Biarritz because I want an exciting, fresh work/day fragrance.

I tried this in the store. At first, it smelled very floral and I dismissed it right away. While very fresh, I couldn't smell the basil at all. It COMPLETELY changed on the dry down. I still didn't smell the basil (in fact, I never did catch the basil) but instead turned warm and somewhat musky. I kept smelling my arm wondering if I had mixed up what I'd sprayed on each arm. I REALLY liked it. It smelled totally different on me than the scent story but I enjoyed that one little spray well into the evening which is impressive for an eau de toilette. The bottle is very large making the price point appropriate. Instead of a spritz nozzle, it's more of a continuous spray which I like. I plan to go back and purchase!
Normally I'm not interested in any of the Chanel fragrances-I prefer another brand. But during the Anniversary Sale I happened on the display of the Chanel fragrances exclusive to Nordstrom. Biarritz wa. s my favorite among the 5-its very fresh and light. I prefer light floral and citrus or green notes and this did not disappoint. Love it!
This is a light, refreshing veil of a fragrance with sparkling citrus and pink pepper top-notes, and a warm slightly sweet dry-down. It's very wearable, very Chanel, with hints of Coco Mademoiselle, Eau Fraiche, and Cristalle, but there is something special and memorable about it. It is so lovely!Since it is light, it needs to be reapplied at least once during the day. My Nordstrom Sales Associate provided a few sample sized sprays of Paris-Deaville and also of Paris-Venice, and Paris-Biarritz that I've been carrying in my work bag.I hope Chanel will offer this in a gift set with a travel flacon, bath gel, and lotion. The lotion and shower gel are already available at Nordstrom, I'm planning to purchase one of each.
Opening is like freshly grated citrus rind, very bitter. I didn't like the first 20 minutes of Paris-Biarritz, but it finally floated into metallic watery notes, very shiny and light grey. A good hour later light musk.Longevity isn't that great, and this one will need to be refreshed often. Spraying on clothing and hair teases out more and if you like a good 5-8 sprays all over, it would work well. Not my favorite of the three Les Eauxs and I suggest Deauville and Venise over Biarritz.
If you like luxurious, sexy, feminine and elegant fragrances—this one is for you. It is simply one of the most captivating fragrances I’ve ever owned. And I am true fragrance fanatic…believe me when I say, this one is one of the absolute best.
This is a very fresh and green scent and well worth the money. It has some floral to it but just enough. It's not heavy but I can still smell it hours after I put it on. Perfect for summer but I wear it 365 days a year.I can't be without it so I try and stock up since it's a Nordstrom's exclusive. Thanks Nordstrom's. Please make the lotion available again too.
I really enjoy the rose, jasmine and pettigrain notes on Paris-Deauville. Very pleasant, hard to hate this one. The patchouli dry down isn't overwhelming and over all a nice light Eaux from Polge. This one is silkier and smoother that the other two in this series. As this is an Eaux it is meant to be nice and light and longevity is perhaps 2-3 hours. It is not meant to last all day and more of a refresher. I found combining it with the body lotion of the same helps to extend the scent. Great light office scent.
