Chanel Poudre Lumiere 30 Rosy Gold

I’m a huge Chanel makeup fan. I’ve tried so many of their products but while most of them are hits this sadly is a huge miss. To my surprise the packaging was just printed on and not embossed like most Chanel. Now to the product for almost $60 it shouldn’t look like cheap kids glitter on the face. I liked that it came with a brush. But it looks so cheap. Will be returning!

I absolutely adore this highlighter!!! It is sheer, yet radiant and is perfect for anyone trying to achieve a stunning look. If you are looking for a high-end highlighter, then look no further than this product. It does not disappoint…This product will make your eyes pop and your cheekbones look snatched. Since it is very pigmented, a little goes a long way.

I got this illuminating powder ,which is basically a highlighter, as a gift for my birthday and I really appreciate it! I probably wouldn’t have gotten it myself because of the price! This was actually my first highlighter ever!! I’ve loved playing with makeup since I was small and highlighter was my favorite part! I love that the pan size is so big that’s it’s almost impossible to hit pan! The color is gorgeous and feel like it can suit so many other skin colors because I have a medium gold skin tone and it brightens up my face! This illuminator has that wet look to it and makes your face look so youthful! I will repurchases this forever! I highly recommend it!

This is a BEAUTIFUL highlight. It’s a gorgeous sparkle when it hits the light, and I have gotten so many compliments from wearing it. I also love the half moon shaped applicator this comes with, easy to use and apply. I would definitely invest in the other shades!

"White Opal" isn't white or silver but GOLD pink!

As always, gorgeous Chanel packaging. But cool-toned ladies should realize that "white opal" isn't a white or silvery-tone highlighter. It's a GOLD tone highlighter with some pink in it. The gold looks unnatural (aka: terrible!) on my very fair, blue-undertone complexion. I do wish companies would label their products more accurately. This one was a definite miss. I returned it.

Deceiving but Versatile

Originally I planned to buy a limited edition highlighter from Chanel, but this was recommended by a makeup artist who did a quick makeover on me. She shared that this was more versatile for spring/summer and fall/winter, depending on how I applied it coverage-wise. (Summer could be a little heavier to emphasize glowing skin while fall/winter could be lighter to brighten up a look.) It is deceiving since the color looks white and difficult to blend. If you use the included brush, or any fan or fluffy brush, lightly tap off excess, then apply to the apples of your cheeks, you can create a light, subtle glow. Hard as a rock!!!

I don’t know what’s going on with Chanel’s make up products lately but it’s been a big disappointment. I’m not sure if I just got an old one or what but this bronzer is completely useless. It’s as hard as rock, and it doesn’t have any pigment. I’ve use the brush that comes with it and another brush and I can’t get any of the product on the brush. I’m switching make up brands and trying other things because Chanel is not cutting it lately.

It's all in the name...

So lightweight and the name "illuminating" couldn't fit any better - it gives you a gorgeous glow! I love this powder as the perfect add-on to my foundation for finishing my face, especially when I'm in a hurry, which is often, it makes it so easy to feel and look presentable (even when you don't have the time to do a full face). Worth it!

Photo is not accurate

I like this product ok. Don’t LOVE, just like. In the photo it looks pink. In real life, it is definitely not pink, but a pearlized opal white. As it is white, it doesn't show up much on the skin. I don’t hate the product, its fine, but if the photo were accurate, I probably wouldn’t have spent $58 on it. Google it, and you will see truer images on other sites, and use that before you decide to buy it online.

Poor Presentation

The color is pretty, nice for my skin tone.I don’t know if I will buy it again from Nordstrom, simply due to the packaging and presentation.It’s a Chanel product and they handed the bag to me and it was a plain white paper bag you buy from Target or Michels. It’s a nice product and it comes with a pretty price tag, you may want to provide a nice Chanel shopping bag; even Macys has the nice presentation.
