Best pliers in the world. You just can’t beat good old blue Chanel locks. Plus the 6-in-1 is awesome bonus tool i use this everyday. If you throw some wd40 on the Chanel locks when they get real dirty from work (I’m a plumber) then Clean grooves and tongues with wire brush and wipe them down. They bite hard forever. I still have original set from 8 years ago. I’m a plumber. Use them daily. I do also own knipex which I love as well. but for the price and quality you just can’t beat Chanel locks.

Can you buy lesser expensive groove plier sets? Yes! Are they as good or better than Channellock? No. If you have ever used cheap tools, you know they are cheap the moment you pick them up and especially when you attempt to use them. Slip joint groove pliers handles should never spring (deform) when under load. The handle grips should never walk off the handles nor become rotated. That is where channellock got their great reputation for not deforming under normal use. You get what you pay for here.

I've used Channel Lock before and found they were a high quality product. I ordered this set to have a variety of sizes at the limited time sale price. We were able to use them as soon as we got them out of the really tough plastic packaging. They performed as expected, which was excellent.

If your good USA-made tools have wondered off over the years due to children, family, friends etc like mine, this set may fill a partial void. Something to beware of: Tool manufacturers to include those of flashlights are stamping items "U.S.A." vs "Made in U.S.A." due to some or most of a widget's parts/build process being performed offshore then in some fashion assembled in USA. About the set: Heavy steel; lengths: 12" OAL w/a ~2.1" jaw drop, 9.5"OAL w/a ~ 1.2" jaw drop, and 6.75"OAL w/a ~ 0.75" jaw drop while closed; very good thick rubber-type handle coverings which actually feel thicker than my 40-y/o set (could be due to wear); exposed metal has some sort of heavy lacquer finish for corrosion prevention, something I don't recall on old set; water pump pivot ... MoreIf your good USA-made tools have wondered off over the years due to children, family, friends etc like mine, this set may fill a partial void. The added screwdriver is stamped "CHANNELLOCK," has a 'corn cob' handle and likely made offshore; its reversible bit (Phillips/flat) has a receiver ball to remain attached - ordinary 'apex' bits fall out. Screwdriver aside, this is a decent set at cost. kr
Nearly all of my tools are Channellock now. Nobody makes better pump pliers or cutting pliers. You can never have too many. I bought this set for my girlfriend and got rid of that overpriced Milwaukee junk. Channellock are the most durable, quality products and not the most expensive. Plus I like that their pliers are all made in USA!
These are the best pliers anywhere near their price range. I rarely use channel lock pliers but when I do, I HATE grabbing cheap ones and having to fight a loose nut, fight poor channels in the adjustment, fight loose grips, etc. These are just great pliers. Don't leave them outside and they'll last a lifetime. The grips have a good shape for easy handling.
I have had many pliers in my life, nothing can compare to the comfort and extra power that these produce. I am a better person and my skin has cleared, my hair grew back and I lost weight. I feel like a new man should have bought them years ago.
They are Channellock pliers. Which if you don't know are GREAT. The only reason I took off 1 star is for the PATHETIC excuse for a screwdriver that came "Free". Wish I would have known the screwdriver was not a FULL SIZE screwdriver. But oh well what do you want for free. Pliers A++++ "Free" screwdriver F-----
Totally worth the money. I tossed out a bunch of cheaper brand tools to make room for these new Channel Locks and can know enjoy opening the tool drawer knowing that the tool I chose will work properly. I also bought several Channel Lock pliers and cutters. If you can keep from losing your tools this will be the last purchase you'll ever need to make.
Can not beat these products! The grips provide my old hands some comfort but more so the grip is great. Plus the new style jaws are hands down better than the old models that I have had since 19 years of age..(55 now). Yeah, the old set were my Father's and past down to me, a little loose but still worked well. These will get passed down as well. Channel Lock make products to last. The price for the set could not be beat and each size sever the purposes as needed. Oh, delivery was on time!
