I first tried Charlotte Tillbury Airbrush Flawless Longwear foundation long ago back in 2021. It was longer lasting on the skin, had a thinner consistency, fragrance, papaya extract which gave a refreshing feeling on the skin, had a natural finish and was much more hydrating than the current formulation. Not sure if they’ve since changed the formula but I’m very disappointed. While I’m glad the fragrance seems to be gone, it has not changed for the better imo. This foundation is supposed to oxidize so I went with shade 3w instead of the recommended 4w but I found that it didn’t seem to oxidize on me. Instead, it seemed to have given me a sort of grey-ish cast but perhaps that’s because I went a shade lighter. It also doesn’t seem to have as much of warm undertone either but perhaps more of a peachy undertone which doesn’t work for me. I bought this when Sephora had their sale and so I’ll be returning this much to my disappointment.

CHARLOTTE TILBURY BEAUTIFUL SKIN

Believe the hype. I've used lots of different high end foundation products over many years. This has to be one of the best I've ever purchased. I have mature skin and this is not cakey and does not sit in fine lines and wrinkles. It goes on beautifully with a sponge/blender and, although not full coverage (I don't want full coverage) it makes my skin look and feel fantastic and is build-able. I was a sceptic: but am no longer one. This has to be one of the best foundations on the market today. I shall be purchasing this from now on. Coverage not enough as a stand alone product

I know I’m going waaaay against the grain here but for me, this was not worth the hype. I bought this as an alternative to NARS tinted moisturiser having read a few comparison reviews. Firstly the applicator is really annoying. Similar to a concealer wand, you have to wipe the product over your face with the brush rather than being able to pour or squeeze into your hand.The coverage is definitely not enough to be used as a stand alone product which is what I was hoping for having read reviews. Drying, Cakey and Awful on Mature Skin

I had high hopes for this foundation but I hate it. It is the most drying, cakey foundation I have ever used. I am a skin care fanatic. I exfoliate, use a serum or combination of serums, moisturize and use primer before applying foundation. This foundation accentuates every single line I have, making me aware of some I hadn’t really noticed, and dried my skin badly. It was not cheap so I don’t want to waste it. I have to add a drop of moisturizer or oil to be able to use it, and even then I’m not too thrilled with it. The write up is completely incorrect. This should never be used on dry mature or textured skin. I've tried all of them and this is the one!

I've used all of the long-wear foundations (Lancome, Estee Lauder, Clinique, Tarte, Urban Decay, Tula, etc.) and this one is the absolute best. I have large pores and scars/sunspots that won't go away no matter what treatments I've had. This foundation is perfect! It applies smooth, no scent, covers everthing and does not look cakey. When I get home from a long day at work (10 hrs), I first check in the magnifyer mirror (7x) in my bathroom to see how the makeup held up during the day and it looks exactly like it did when I applied! Amazing! I use 2 colors for different areas of my face and apply with fingers and use a makeup brush to blend. I also have very sensitive skin and have had no issues with breakouts, etc. My pores are unnoticeable using this foundation. I've now used several products from CT and am very happy with the quality of all so far (lipsticks, mascara). The mascara is great - comes off easy but does not flake or smudge during the day. Try this foundation - you will probably be as amazed as me!

It turned orange!

I had the Airbrush foundation before this in the palest shade, and while the shade match was quite good and the formula stable, I don't want full coverage matte all that often. The later foundations had no shade pale enough until this one. I tried the palest shade on the sample card - far too dark, but I like the coverage and finish, so risked the full size in the palest shade. I eagerly tried it - only just light enough but I could get away with it and it looked good on the skin. Until 20 mins later when I had turned orange. I looked like Donald Trump! (wait, is that what happened to him...) This is the worst oxidation I have seen in a foundation since the '90s, and it has put me off Tilbury base products for good. Love This Foundation

I have been using this foundation for around 5 months now. I absolutely love it.It goes on so smooth and so easy to blend out. You can have a sheer look or build it up to a full coverage, full glam look.I am 40 years old and have tried many high end foundations in the past and this is by far my favourite.I pair this foundation with the By Terry Hyaluronic finishing powder and it’s like magic. I have the perfect looking skin that stays on all day. I highly recommend this foundation.Initially I had issues finding the right shade as some of them were too orange for my skin tone. My all-time favourite complexion product

This product really is worth five stars, I will give it six if I could!A little of this product goes a long way, I thought the shades are quite adaptive, I can use either shade three or four in relation to this product. However, I prefer 4 as it gives me a healthy glow. The shade range is simply appalling

As an ultra-fair cool-toned Scandi and the keen lover of the discontinued Magic Foundation shade Fair 00 that was an exact match for me, I was excited to try the Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Foundation in the shade 1N. Seeing that this new product was sort of a successor of the Magic Foundation - the perfect shade match of which I have not met in any other product - I assumed that the lightest shade would be as inclusive as the previous product range had been. Boy, was I wrong. Sadly, I have no business enjoying the beautiful skin provided by this foundation because of the ridiculously marginalizing shade range. To provide context, I use the Hauslabs Triclone Foundation in 015 (lightest of the three listed here), Tarte Babassu Foundcealer in 8B Porcelain Beige, Dior Forever Skin Glow Foundation in 0.05N (yes, two zeros) and these last two products are practically identical in shade and finish (points go to Tarte for being cruelty-free). Nars Sheer Glow in Oslo (not unlike all other Nars foundations in Oslo) is too dark to begin with and oxidizes even darker. I have abandoned the Tom Ford Traceless Soft Matte Foundations in 0.0 Neutral Pearl for being too yellow and 0.1 Cool Cameo for being too dark and saturated/pinky/peachy.
