Charlotte Tilbury Glow Toner - 150 ml

I've been enjoying using the Charlotte Tilbury Glow Toner. I like that it uses prickly pear extract to exfoliate the skin instead of acids. It's a nice change from the other toners I typically use. As a result I can use it daily without worrying about any skin irritation. It also contains sodium hyaluronate for hydration, which I like since it can penetrate deeper into the skin than hyaluronic acid. The toner itself has a soft milky texture and I find it has a thicker consistency than a usual toner formula. It feels refreshing when applied and leaves your skin with an incredibly soft and smooth velvetly feel to the touch. I prefer to use my hands to apply this and gently press it into my skin. I did try it in the morning prior to putting on makeup but didn’t like the way it reacted with my foundation so mostly used it at night. The issue I had with the toner is that it caused my skin to break out, both in the little red dots I get from irritation and several random blemishes that I almost never get. I took several days off from using it and tried it again and yup got another blemish almost instantly. I was so disappointed because I really wanted to love this and be able to use it daily but it isn’t worth the skin reaction for me. I do have sensitive skin and am betting it reacted to the fragrance but I can’t be sure. I am sure it would work great for anyone who doesn’t have sensitive blemish prone skin and they would enjoy the way it leaves your face feeling soft and pampered but unfortunately it is not for me.

So I was very skeptical about this one. I first used it with cleansing pad and then with cotton swab. I was seeing that it gets so quickly absorbed in them. So I decided to use it with my fingers and pressing on the skin. I liked that results are better that way and you are not wasting the product. Some people might find the smell disturbing but I like the faint flowery smell. Smells like roses to me. It sure leaves the skin plumped and creates a very good ground for serum and moisturizer. Amazing Product!

Charlotte Tilbury's newest addition to her already fabulous skincare line is the GlowToner. I was amazed as from Day 1, the very first try, my skin was softly radiant with a healthy, vibrant glow that was simply beautiful. The claims of hydrating, younger-looking, glowing and plumper were 100% true! I have or had enlarged pores. I had tried so many products to visibly make my pores smaller and THIS PRODUCT IS IT! An amazing pre skincare addition

I received a small travel size in my BL4 box last year and have since bought about 5 full size bottles. Is it a toner?? Not really, but then again I use "toner" differently than most. I rarely use a cotton pad to apply; it's best to just pour a small amount in the palm of your hand and apply this way. It's less product waste and allows more active products to absorb better. As this has niacinamide, it's great to just apply directly to your skin. It absorbs quickly and doesn't leave any stickiness nor is it heavy. I usually apply several drops and rub into my skin until it's mostly absorbed followed by a few minutes to allow to dry before applying the next product. It's really made a difference in the last about 8 months. I bought this on a whim. I am not a toner girl but the promise of a glow intrigued me and I figured why not. I didn’t notice much change the first few days but it felt nice and it has a very light pleasant fragrance so I kept using it. Fast forward a couple of weeks later and I am impressed! I glanced at my skin in the mirror first thing in the morning and I did a double take. My skin looked so clear and smooth and hydrated and glowy! I would prefer good skincare to mounds of makeup and this helps me do that. It’s a little pricey but you get a decent amount and it lasts a long time. I apply just the littlest bit with clean hands and smooth it over my skin before serum. It is definitely something I didn’t know I needed until I got it. I tried using a cotton pad with it but found the stopper too restricting to get enough product out. I also felt like it wasn’t emollient enough to soak and soften the cotton pad. Not amazing but not bad either

Always wise to try mini version first. This CB toner is not disappointing but it is not amazing either. I having been using the 30ml bottle day and night; it leaves skin feeling soft and slightly smooth. There is a fresh cooling effect after application and it does work well underneath make up prep. It caused no irritation to my skin; it is not tacky to touch or leaves a breastplate film on top of the skin. Once the products dries the skin just feels smooth. Not sure if I will purchase the full size but I most definitely will grab another 30 ml bottle.
