As loyal Charmin customers for decades, (outside of COVID TP craziness) we've always received the same excellent quality product, until 2023. The last two large multi packs purchased from well-known stores have contained low quality toilet paper. There's no Charmin brand imprint on these rolls, and they look and feel much thinner. The first pack consisted entirely of a lower end product and literally fell apart in use. The most recent pack contained approximately 80 percent of the same poor quality tp, and 20 percent of actual Charmin. We pay extra for this quality brand. If Charmin is not providing their customers actual Charmin product, that is fraud. I'm writing to express my absolute delight over the new wavy perforated edges being beta-tested on some of your bathroom tissue products. I was lucky enough to purchase an 8-roll package of the Super Mega Ultra Soft and find it tears sooooooo much easier and cleaner than the straight-edged perforated sheets. Who knew you could improve on toilet paper design? I read several comments pertaining to this new design with most being positive. I did read one, though, from a gentleman who claimed the new wavy/scalloped perforations resulted in his paper shredding instead of tearing cleanly. Even if he was snatching the paper from the roll, I can't imagine the paper shredding. Unfortunately the product is no longer what it used to be. It seems to get worse with every purchase so now I am looking for options from other brands. I saw Charminâs response to another review saying the same thing and it is a complete lie that there is any lotion in this TP now unless whatever worker packaged it had put lotion on their hands that morning. Compared to what it used to be, there is absolutely zero lotion in this paper now. It feels the same as any other ultra dry toilet paper. Then, to fit the 8 rolls in our other bathroom, they have to be broken down, which we can do, but it does take up some much needed room.
