Chef 60cm Fan Forced Oven - CVE614DB

My old Chef oven had died and I wanted to replace it with an upgraded model, but had a strict budget. Ive previously had a Miele oven which was very expensive but I found that I didnt use all of its functions and that the electronic settings were difficult to understand. This oven allows you to use either the regular bake or fan bake function which is something that I particularly wanted, and though Ive only had my oven one week, Ive baked a blueberry slice, choc chip cookies and blueberry muffins., as well as making a salmon slice and cooked chicken Kiev with baked vegetables and fish and chips. I think that I had left them in just a few minutes longer than they needed, but it was a new recipe that was judging the time for rather than knowing what it should have been. Though I havent used it yet, Im keen to try the fan grill function which is supposed to give a result similar to rotisserie cooked meat, and also means that you dont need to turn whatever youre grilling.My only problem with the oven was that I found it difficult to see where the marker on both the temperature and function selectors, was pointing as its all black. This was exacerbated by the fact that my oven is an under bench model so that I have to bend down to try and see the selector. Ive now painted a fine white line over the indicator making it perfectly visible and I can honestly say that this is now my dream oven, and I would recommend it to anyone from a first time cook to someone who loves to cook and bake. I must also say that I cant speak highly enough of the service that I received from The Good Guys. The young man who I dealt with went out of his way to help me and ensure that I received the best price for what was a major purchase for someone on a pension. Having previously bought a new microwave oven from the same store with the same high standard of service, I can honestly say that they now have a customer for life.

Easy to use knobs for badly arthritic hands whatever the setting, the food is cooked/warmed precisely love the light inside which saves having to open the oven door during cooking I like the red light which tells me when the right temperature has been reached the oven door has several 'opening levels' and holds that position - this feature stops me being burned the setting numbers (around both knobs) are very easy to see/read very easy to clean.

Australian made. Easily installed in existing oven space. More importantly, easy to use.Delivered at a time that suited my bust schedule.
