These chef pants fit just as I was expecting XS size. After a few months, this model is proving to be durable so far. I have a few pairs of this same chef pants without the zipper
fly and those are great chef pants too, but the stitching on the crotch is something I have had to repair several times on those. So far this model with the zipper fly is proving
to be stronger than that of the model with no zipper fly as the stitching appears to still be in perfect shape. This line of chef pants by Chef Works are going to be the only chef
pants I will purchase in the future unless I find something better given the price and quality, I doubt I will.

I have only worn them a couple days but they fit right out of the package, and didnt run as long as ones issued to me by my employer, these are still just a touch too long but
rolled them up just a bit and they were fine. The draw string is nice, keeps the plumber butt from ever making an appearance and nobody ever needs to see that. They were
roomy enough for all the important parts to breath and side or front pockets easy to get hands into to access a sharpie or thermometer, or cutglove. Material seems of quality
material but have only had them a couple of days. I would recommend them.

I LOVE THESE PANTS. They fit great and while the material is not heavy and thick thats perfect as there is usually a lot of heat in certain areas of a kitchen. If youre doing prep
you wont be cold and if youre working the stove and ovens you wont bathe in a river of your own perspiration. Black, as a color is perhaps going to feel hotter in Summer and
early Fall months and so is ANY OTHER color if youre working outside events in direct sunlight or are assigned to outdoor grilling. Just wear white or some other light color if
your environment is hot.Getting the proper size could be a bit tricky since the descriptions run S, M, L, XL, 2XL and so on, and no method is provided to translate ... Show more

Black, as a color is perhaps going to feel hotter in Summer and early Fall months and so is ANY OTHER color if youre working outside events in direct sunlight or are assigned to outdoor grilling. Just wear white or some other light color if your environment is hot.Getting the proper size could be a bit tricky since the descriptions run S, M, L, XL, 2XL and so on, and no method is provided to translate this manufacturers sizing into sizes you might be more comfortable with such as 34x31 or 32 Long. Im a little bigger around the middle than Id like and thats the price I pay for loving food and cooking. I usually order regular pants in 40x31 or 40x32 and wear Nike warmups in size XL.I ordered this pant in 2XL and they fit so well and have the room I like in a pant. I couldnt be happier. Even better, the pant inseam came in at 32 on my 2XLs, which is exactly correct for me. Before purchasing these pants I read another reviewer who wrote the pants are tight and not a good fit.Its easy to solve a problem with an order by returning them. Note my comment on Amazons refundreturnexchange policy below.PURCHASE SIZE Since most all brands of mens pants run to the small side, especially in the waist and crotch, try going one size larger than normal. When they arrive if the pants dont fit to your liking, return them and go up or down a size.AMAZON RETURNS Ive never had a problem with Amazons refund process and now, with their instant credit you dont have to wait a long time for your refund. In fact you can take it as an Amazon credit which means you can repurchase a replacement without waiting for your bank to process a credit to your account. This is nice since youre not out twice the cost while you wait for your refund and your buying power is not diminished. Just be sure to print the return label and send the item back BEFORE the dropdead date for the refund. SAVE YOUR PACKAGINGALL OF ITFOR YOUR OWN CONVENIENCE.This pant is not the baggy, traditional chefs pant. Thats not a reason to pass on this brand. For my tastes they look more stylish than really baggy pants. They are roomy enough in the waist and crotch and that makes them very comfortable.BAGGYNOT BAGGY If you must absolutely have traditional, baggy chefs pants this pant is not for you.One reviewer noted the pants collect lint when washed. ALL black clothing collects lint of some sort when washed IF you dont wash them with other black, nonfuzzy materials. If lint is a problem, wash the pants as a single load or with another pair of these black pants. I will own more than one pair of these pants as I dont wear the same pair of pants for a full week in the kitchen. NOT A GREAT IDEA to wash these pants with light colored materials or any color towels as you will become a collection point for the excess lint in the Universe. After washing, dry them on low heat with a sheet of fabric softener. Before drying BE SURE to clean the lint filter on the dryer as that helps prevent lint on clothing when drying. If you still get some lint, buy one of those rollers they sell on Amazon, at dry cleaners or at any ACE Hardware.LINT Learn to live with it save it and take up felting as a hobby. Dont wash black anything with fuzzy clothes or lighter color stuff, especially towels.PROSGreat value for the moneyGreat fit and comfort2 front and 1 back pocketsElastic waistbandNice long drawstring for tightening the fit at the waist if you chooseEasy careStylish look that looks great for short trips to the dining areaBlack, in an otherwise sea of white, where you supervise others makes you easier to find quicklyCONSCost more than a pair of white from the same makerI highly recommend you try a pair of these pants. If you cant wear black in your operation, buy them in white from this maker.ADDED 3813There is one thing to do when you get these pants. The nylon cord sewn into the waistband to adjust the fit is not finished well. They tie a knot in the ends to keep fraying to a minimum. When you wash them, the know will come undone and the cord will fray. This is true for all the pants in their line with this nylon cording. The SOLUTION is to take your handheld torch or a long match and use the flame to melt the ends of the pull. This stops fraying once and for all. Its easy to do, doesnt catch fire, release hazardous fumes, and does stop fraying when washing. These are still a great buy.... Show more

I bought this thinking it would just be a bit large L and I could just tighten the string...its still much too large. I do like the durability it seems to bring, so I bought a smaller size M. When I got the new ones they fit more snug in the leg which is good and in the waste which not so good. The string being as tightened as possible still makes it loose for me when Im at work if I have to move up and down a lot. Both pants seem to have the same length too which isnt good since Im pretty short. They have to be at least 32 long if not longer.... Show more

Great pants I ordered these same pants a few years ago and needed a few new pairs. The new ones I just received are definitely made better then the older pair. The drawstring is beefed up. Its a thicker and longer cord. The material seems thicker and better quality. Very comfortable and good flexibility.... Show more

Great pair of pants! The drawstring keeps them in place all day even with all the bending and crouching I do. I purchased some for my dishwasher as well and he loves them so I'm thinking of getting them for my prep cooks too.... Show more
