I wear size 34 and dont have any problems with purchasing pants that size anywhere, except here. The first pair I bought fit or doesnt supper tight. I love the style and feel of the material so I gave it another try, but ordered size 36 and that fit perfectly.

I bought these because I have to have blackwhite houndstooth chef pants for my culinary school, and there arent a whole lot of good options out there. I was previously wearing Mercers version, but those run extremely long in the leg and I got tired of having to roll them up. I could have hemmed them, but honestly I just didnt feel like it.Now that you know my life history, lets get to these pants. Im really glad I read through the reviews before I bought them, because people are NOT kidding when they say these pants run small. I got a pair thats 2 sizes larger than I normally wear, and theyre still fairly snug. The legs are a bit long for me, but nowhere near as bad as my old pants. These ones at least wont brush the floor.The pants also have a weird sewnin crease ... Its not likely to fool anyone into thinking that your chef pants are ironed, and most people dont care about that anyway these days.Now let me tell you about the worst feature the pockets. Im pretty sure these were designed by someone who has never had pockets on their clothing, but once heard them described by a drinking buddy. The hip pockets actually have a decent depth to them, which I appreciate. They are extremely narrow though, which makes it super awkward to access the contents if you have big hands. Far worse than that are the back pockets. The pockets themselves are fine theyre shaped like normal back pockets. For some reason though, theyre both sewn further toward the middle of your butt than they are on other pants. And its weird. It might not sound like such a big deal, but trust me. You dont know how weird it feels until you experience it. Putting my wallet in my back pocket almost feels like Im trying to smuggle it past customs, if you know what I mean.All in all Im not sorry I bought these pants, but I wouldnt get them again. I know that the flaws described here arent quirks because I bought two pairs, so its clearly the way theyre designed. They meet the requirements for my culinary program, but theyll be in the garbage can first thing after I graduate.
