Having had this for a while now and using it in the shop at work, I really like it. It`s everything the description says it is. Light, fast, quiet, ergonomic. The 6 inch pad I like too- with no residue comes off the back of the sandpaper- sticking onto it (seems to have a plastic film like quality to it, unlike other ones). It`s flexible to a degree yet seems very flat, unlike some of the orbitals in the shop which seem to be 'high centered'. Recommended top air pressure is 95 CFM but if you crank it up it`ll really get the thing spinning, but it says it can damage the 'motor' or bearings in it. I keep the line at 95 and all air tools seem to work fine at that pressure. A few drops of air tool oil throught the day for longevity and it should keep it happy. I dig it, it`s the best (imo) orbital in the shop. And I can be pretty critical.

I work in aviation and use this sander every day. It's light weight, easy to operate, and leaves a fantastic finish.
Size is perfect complement to my large on. Quality of CP is second to none. All my CP stuff has outlasted most other brands.
Smooth and powerful, really an impressive machine. Easy to use, light, and so quiet I thought i was broken at first.I can't imagine buying another.
The Chicago Pneumatic CP7255 is one of the best sanders made. Our finishing shop has used a variety of manufacturer's sander. This particular sander will last longer that 3 of any other competitors sander.
no problems
this thing is way better than my old junky husky, should be as it was more that twice the homedepot price of the husky. nicer looking, nicer feeling in my hand, just plain better. and i really like the button lever pushy thing over the handle, the handle being the device it self, which makes it way more easy to have a nice controlled sanding action when doing roofs or hoods of cars . and it doesn't break down after 1 job.
yes brilliant sander I work with alloy and fiberglass and works well with both
