Good quality tool but the blades in this kit cannot be inserted properly without sniping off the ends and sanding a bit, even after loosening the two set screws. I still recommend the motor, but buying the entire kit is a poor choice. I wrote for advice from CP on their website but did not hear back from them. Rather than bothering Home Essentials Direct with a return, I've decided to cut all the ends on my blades to make sure the hole in each blade aligns properly after full insertion. After reading about blade problems I bought the entire kit to make sure I would get compatible blades. That ended up to be a mistake on my part.

I bought it in a kit to save myself the hassle of not having to go buy the blades separately but the blades are not even correct for the tool. This issue just annoys me more than it should. on the other hand though, i bought some hacksaw blades, cut them into 3 and drilled a hole in the back and I had myself cheap and effective blades. The tool itself though is insane. once You get the right blade on there, it cuuuuuuutttsssss like butter. I like CP air tools and I put them through their paces daily and they are yet to let me down.

I’m a professional who uses this saw every day for sheet metal fabrication. I’ve used the snap on and it’s an amazing tool. The snap on is fast smooth and has the ability to make scroll like curves. When I got the CP it only took me a few hours to realize the guide on this unit is holding the saw back from the same performance as the Snapon. So remove the guide and this machine will feel and perform like a saw more than twice the price. The quality is good. The power is good. I’m happy with my purchase

Powerful little saw. Comfortable and easy to use.
SO much better than using an angle grinder type of tool. No sparks, thin curf cutting, and ability to get into tight spaces or cut precise curves. Low vibration and lower air consumption than most air saws means I can use my 2hp 30 gallon home compressor. I do go through the blades that came with the tool fairly quickly but it's worth it to me to get such quality cuts.
THIS TOOL IS VERY BEST QUALITY WITH VERY LOW VIBRATION. CUTS METAL LIKE BUTTER. IF YOU WANT THE BEST THIS IS IT.
The overall saw was nice and cut through 14 to 18 gauge like butter. After 2 years of cutting mild steel with moderate use, the neuro that holds the blade has broken. And trying to locate parts for this is far more expensive than buying a new one.
This is my second one. First saw lasted 10 years with no issues in a commercial shop with daily use.
Works great! My old Matco one took a dump after 15 years and other friends of mine had this model and loved it. I saw it was on sale and got one. Works great.
excellent saw especially for aluminum. Does not wear out your hand like the IR product line (Snap-On too) and cuts MUCH better! I've read some reviews that removing the guide makes cuts easier and more maneuverable... True, but be prepared to destroy the chuck. It will end up having to be over-tightened and split, or the back side of the blade will wear away the aluminum chuck. At this point, buy a new saw... its cheaper than finding replacement parts. This mistake happens constantly in my shop. Look at some reviews for a sample pic. Bottom line, take care of it, and if you are making heavy cuts, use the guide.
