The package arrived more quickly than expected and right to the door. The colour is a mixed gray and darker than I expected but compliments the main door mat very nicely. This mat is for close to the chair we use to put on/take off outdoor footwear. The material is a tight looped plastic on a heavy mat base; a nice solid mat and I have vacuumed it once already. It should wash out well and easily. Overall, I am pleased with my choice. I do wish there were more sizes from which to make a selection.

I ordered 3 runners for my Airstream trailer. The orange color is beautiful. I love the heavy duty materials used. I love that I can just pull them out and hose them off when needed. Did not like washing throw rugs all the time. My husband loves these runners also. I have other Chilewich products and love the quality and beauty of them. First discovered this company on a cruise ship.

Beautiful happy colors.But nick is very slick.We have it inside the front door. It slides around and one day even blocked the door, fortunately the house has other exterior doors. I needed a thin rug so the door cleared. I tried 2 different rug gripper mats, finally found on that reduced sliding, but now the door scrapes a little.This sliding would likely happen in most areas, making the rug very dangerous.It is surprising that grips are not an option pr immediately sold with the rug

After trying 3 different rugs in front of my kitchen sink and dishwasher, I have finally found the perfect answer! My husband has Parkinson’s and a thin carpet that stays in place but still absorbs spills is absolutely essential in our home. I also wanted something that looks great and enhances my decor. This rug makes us both very happy! I have now purchased one for our vacation home and plan to buy them as gifts for my daughter’s busy home with messy, active children for their mud room. I am so pleased with this product!
I love ALL my Chilewich mats! They seem to intermix well with my collection of Oriental rugs. And they last in good condition FOREVER! These carpets are GREAT! Used to keep our feet dry and mud off the shoes after walking our dogs in the park. I have 3 different sizes, and they also help keep the hardwood floors cleaner when it rains. I also use them under our dog food bowls as a place mat 90% of the time, and pull it out when it rains. It’s multi-functional!! They are easy to clean and waterproof! We live in a beach town!
The shag mats are the best and only thing you need at entry both indoor and outdoor. Looks neat and chic. easy to clean unlike other door mats. And the only one I could find in 180cm for my patio/deck doors. Imperial system you think....I'm down under! Threw away all my rubber and other dust trap wonder mats that get sold to us. Wasn't easy for me to get this from the US to Australia but I made it happen! Very happy camper. Fanboy of sorts as I already use Chilewich Table mats for a couple of years now. Please make all your products available in Australia (and a good price)
I love my "Skinny Stripe Shag Mat" by Chilewich! I was looking for a rug that could take abuse in a much-used entry in my house. It is here that my husband and I put our hiking shoes, grocery bags, with mud and humidity. This rug takes it all and it's happy, hip, modern. This goes with my modern home and my design esthetic. Perfect! My granddaughter always reaches down to touch it when she enters...curious, fascinated.
Eons ago, our first Chilewich products were 2 pretty apricot colored placemats--easy to clean under the tap. We added another set in turquoise. Loved the color and bought a turquoise rug. Couldn't resist a striped shag rug for the front door. Added dark winter green placemats. Bought 2 rugs and 3 runners in shag mushroom for a path on one side of the garage that leads to my studio-over-the garage. (Elegant color on cement.) The colors have not changed over time and use, and we love the easy care. Bravo Chilewich!
