Dior Homme Parfum (DHP) is slightly heavy, thick, deep, smooth, and rich perfume. So its recommended for people who want to announce their arrival at a party or an event coz its projection is very good and so is the performance. The oud and the leather notes are subtle and well rounded and owing to that confidence and maturity aligns well with DHP.Strongly recommended for classy formal events, parties and evenings.Bought mine from FridayCharm on the suggestion of the Owner himself. Full marks to him for this and for the prompt delivery. Package arrived well on time and product was packed with care. Good service!

The first spray and I realised...The hype is real !! The is a true masterpiece. The beautiful Iris rides on top of dark expensive leather. The sandalwood provides a creamy base along with the dark musky ambrette. There are intermittent surprises of agarwood and rose from time to time. This perfume is a paradox. Dark yet aromatic. Brooding yet playful by choice. A perfume for the sombre, commmanding, enigmatic man at the top who is also the cynosure of parties. The perfumer Francois Demachy has truly given his best.Thanks Hamdan and Fridaycharm for bringing such a rare gem at an affordable price to us mere mortals.

I really wanted to be all about this one. I almost did a blind buy on it. I think I'm glad I didn't. I'm kinda torn with this scent. With all the rave reviews on it I went in with higher expectations and was a little let down. The iris scent comes across a little earthy to me at first. Then comes the powdery chocolate scent. I've read some people saying it smells like a woman's make-up bag and now that's all I think of. I had a spritz on my arm yesterday and I took a nap and kinda kept smelling it from under the blanket. I'd kind of like it and then I'd kind of not. Once it really dried down then all I smelled was chocolate and I didn't care for that. Although it is not listed, there is definitely some vanilla in here combining with the iris to create a waxy, but also buttery accord. It's fairly linear but performs very well. Opens with iris and lavender, then the sweet yet irresistible cocoa(it’s not officially listed)comes about 15 minutes after that. It is sweet, a bit spicy, and dark. The woody base notes add some desired masculinity to the global scent and grant a long dry down still suggesting some nuances of the musky iris and the sweetness of the boozy pear. It's almost intoxicating to wear, with a heavy and full-bodied sweetness in the opening notes thanks to the iris and musk mallow that you can almost taste, but it never comes off as cloying. I would imagine this is why people make the comparison to lipstick. What does lipstick smell like? I have just smelled a few lipsticks and compared it to this fragrance. They have nothing in common! That is just a terrible comparison! DIOR HOMME ORIGINAL, disappointed

I had been waiting for a discounter to finally restock Dior Homme Parfum and got impatient and figured let me try this in the mean time. So I got Zion and this. Zion is close and longer lasting than most other inspired by frags out while Leather Intense is really good but I will say side by side with a sample of DH Parfum it reminds me more of DH Intense off the bat. It gets closer as it dries but still it's noticeable. To me it's the leather note, seems it could be increased ever so slightly and the quality of the Iris is different. Definitely a solid stand in for a substitute, I think in the air people with an untrained nose will find it difficult to tell the difference. For the price this is worth it absolutely but don't expect a 1 to 1 clone. First off, it's high quality. The scent is very refined and rich. The first time I smelled it I thought of the Kentucky Derby on a rainy day. It smells regal and powerful but in a beautiful way. As it progresses through its life cycle it goes through some slight changes and at one point I would describe it as smelling like the inside your grandmother's Vinyl Handbag that has a leather liner and is filled with lipstick , compacts , and a few pieces of bubblegum. I just got my bottle in the mail today and I can’t be any happier. It was a very successful blind buy. I haven't smelled Dior Homme Parfum but I have a 50 ml bottle of Dior Homme Intense since 2017. Honestly, I only keep my DHI just to have one in my collection since it doesn't work well with my skin chemistry unlike Prada L'Homme. After I smelled this fragrance, I was fascinated. The harmony between the iris and leather notes produced a stunningly beautiful scent. Call it a dupe or a clone, I don't care. The quality of the juice, the performance, projection and longevity is a big love to me and I can only agree with all the positive reviews here.
