Christian Dior Hypnotic Poison - 100ml Eau De Parfum Spray

What can I say, I adore this scent. I am a fragrance lover and I have many many perfumes but I always come back to my Hypnotic Poison. It's a powdery, vanillic fragrance with an amazing nutty almond and spice undertone. It's sweet without being gourmond or cloying, and a perfect transition scent for anyone wanting to smell more "grown" without smelling too mature. It smells expensive, inviting, warm, and seductive. Oddly enough, I think this could pull unisex on the right man but otherwise on women it smells very feminine and sexy. Some people online have complained about a "play doh" undertone to it but I don't smell that at all. I suppose it all comes down to skin chemistry so it might be worth trying it out at the store before buying.

I may pick up a bottle of this at some point, because it can be found pretty affordably, and I want to keep experiencing this!

This is still one of the sexiest perfumes I’ve ever smelled. It’s an amazing clean woodsy jasmine. It works any time of year, night or day. The clean, but also woodsy notes make it very versatile. There’s no sweetness to this at all, which I love. It just seems to exude confidence that it doesn’t need sweetness to be sexy, flirty and feminine. This is the first bottle of perfume I fell in love with and saved for. I saved for 6 months before I got my own bottle. Over a decade (almost 2) later and it is still my favorite. I barely wear it bc I associate it with date nights and holiday dinners but I will never be without a bottle. It’s the most stunning fragrance from Dior IMO. And it’s one of the most unique mainstream perfumes on the market.

First time I ever walked into a Sephora I was maybe 20. Maybe a little younger, we didn’t have one in our city. And it was before social media etc. so there wasn’t much word of mouth about it. But it was like walking into a cathedral 😅 I’m not super religious, at least not Bible religious. And Dior’s Hypnotic Poison might have been the first perfume I smelled in there. Because I love the color red. And I loved how it looked like an apple. But I’ve honestly never bought a perfume that was prob over $40. It’s just not in me to do. I’ll clearly buy rollerballs of an expensive bottle I’ll like, but it wasn’t until recently that I saw they had it available. Think I got it from Sephora online. My mom has been spraying this Huda’s sis Kalali or whatever that everybody raved about that I thought smelled godawful. I mean everybody’s nose smells things differently but…anyway. I gave it to my mom thinking maybe she’d wear it once in awhile…didn’t have the heart to tell her that she was killing me every single day she wore it. Until the other day I just had to say something. A little roll will do you w hypnotic poison. It was worth the 20 yr wait.

It's an easy scent to wear I don't find that it's overpowering and you can with a few very light sprays and be subtle, or get your inner grade 10 schoolgirl vibe on, and go for 20 sprays, whatever makes you smile, I say do that. I'm definitely not a perfume expert and I just buy what I like, I do understand that some are more complex than others and my nose tells me what I like and what I don't like. I tend to shy away from heavy musks and earthy notes, and gravitate to floral + a little zing. Poison has top notes that are fruity and dry down to a more woody tone in the mid and for me that is a very subtle earth tone as I'm not to keen on deep woodsie scents. If you haven't had this since your youth...I say go get a sample and see what memories it brings back! If you've never tried it and always wondered I say...go get a sample! I'm so glad that I went for it and I'm never disappointed when I decided to bring out my inner grade 10 carefree side and walk a little on the wild side that day.

My all time favourite perfume which I only get for Christmas or my birthday, and I no longer buy it from anywhere else! Chemist Warehouse offer the absolute best price on this very expensive and quality fragrance (gorgeous bottle with the most delicious scent within - not sure what “notes” it contains, but in my opinion I think vanilla is the strongest one of the bunch), yet always package it so well for safe and speedy delivery. Whenever I wear it, Hypnotic Poison always gets a lot of comments on how amazing it smells - and it lasts well into the night after wearing all day! Thank you so much…I’ll be back as soon as I need more…or want to consider another alternative perfume to wear (not that I’ll ever stop my serious obsession with this one)! Definitely powdery smell. It's sweet. I got a compliment my first day wearing it. He said it smelled good and expensive. Before I bought it, other reviews said people always want to know what they're wearing so they can buy for themselves, and this has been the case for me. I Love it, just wished it had staying power like bright Crystal Versace. It seems to soak into the skin so you don't smell it as much as when you first spray it on. 10/10 otherwise. The notes listed on Fragrantica for this fragrance are accurate, & it's what I used when making a decision to buy. More so for date nights. Wouldn't recommend for places you have to move around a lot. Better if you'll be standing still or if you're neck/wrists/arms will be exposed. Highly recommended this fragrance

My kids don't let me wear anything else.

I started wearing this in 1998 when it first was launched. I was buying my Chanel 5 and was given a sample card with ot sprayed on it. I stuck it in my phone case and everytime I was on my phone I smelled it and fell in love with it. I wear nothing else. I get at the very least 3 compliments every single time I wear it. Men have writen it down women as well. I have tried others but my children say no way are you wearing anything else because anything else is not thier mom. This is me. So they keep me stocked up. I wish they would have more collections though I notice other colognes have have gift collections but this does not for some reason.al vanilla scent. Everybody seems to pick something different from it. But all love it.

Unique Warm, Spicy, Play Dough Scent

Received this fragrance today.How it smells:It smells warm, spicy, and a little bit like play dough in the cool down.The play dough smell isn't as overpowering as I thought, the other notes kind of mask it but, it's still there. I guess I like it because of the warmness it has to it. Definitely see it as a fall/winter scent because of the warm spiciness to it. It's nostalgic if you played play dough before. I would use it by itself but, to calm down the play dough I use the tiffany perfume to bring the powder into it. Would I buy it again? I will see if I get compliments on this from the man of my life. Maybe. Definitely a good perfume with a unique scent.

i love it buuuut
