I bought this to replace a short Chuckit! launcher that I lost at the dog park. I had purchased a short one so it was more convenient to carry, so when I saw this product I decided to try it instead. It expands easily - unfold and slide the plastic grip so that it locks in place over the hinge. It's very stable. The balls fly far and high, and I'm a lousy throw. My dog is thrilled and I am too.

My throwing is dreadful but this launcher definitely improves it - the ball goes more or less in the right direction and much further than without the launcher. I like that this one folds out to give extra length - we have another one that is shorter and I find it much more difficult to throw from. I recommend this one for people like me who can't throw! But also my husband has huge fun with it - he can practically get a ball into the stratosphere with it!

This folds in half which is a gamechanger. My dog loses his mind over these things and being able to fold it up and put it in my jacket means I can put it away during a walk. Ones that don't fold, he'll be persistent and not give up with his jumping so it helps with training.It's well made too!
