First things first: this toy is absolutely AMAZING for an outdoor runner! No more losing tennis balls to the bushes, this is made to be found and easy to carry- for human and dog!Now... my dog is not typically what I would call a āchewerā. He does enjoy chewing on his kong toys, but only when there are treats inside. Stuffed animals typically die by chewing, but it takes a few weeks of rough shaking before he remembers he can take the stuffing out. This ball did not invite him to chew, so much as the way it is carried makes it degrade quickly. The more he bit and squeezed while running, the worse the material became until a side split open- of course, now thatās how he carries the thing around.Iām going to use this thing until it literally falls apart, because ...Ā MoreFirst things first: this toy is absolutely AMAZING for an outdoor runner! Chuck it is usually one of the few brands that i consistently buy for my dog because they hold up well. Unfortunately this time was different for us. I bought this ball to replace the same one that my dog had for easily 1 year, and this one didnāt even last 24hrs once we gave it to her. My dog is not an aggressive chewed by any means. Disappointed in this product, especially for the price.

My dog and I both love this ball. She gets super excited when it gets pulled out and will chase it around until complete exhaustion and I don't even have to take my hands out of my pockets! Almost anything else she loses interest in super quick. I have even been able to use it as a reward for training by pausing play and continuing when she complies with a command, a lifesaver since she isn't the most treat motivated. It's fairly durable and the glowing kind of works but I have to plan ahead. The only downsides to the ball are that it is totally possible for the dog to chew through it if left unsupervised with it. It certainly isn't as durable as other toys and will probably have to be replaced sooner even if your dog isn't a huge chewer and it's kind of pricey for ...Ā MoreMy dog and I both love this ball. Obviously this ball gets very dirty. After playing outside with it, it is staying outside for sure. The glowing part of the ball is powered by light and not by battery, so if you want to play at night you will probably have to kick it under a outdoor lamp and leave it on for a while before you play and even then you will only charge part of it (which still works well enough for me). You could probably charge it up quickly with a powerful flashlight or something but, that's still an extra step. Not a deal breaker for me though.TL;DR: Great toy for playing with your dog, not a chew toy though and not particularly durable. Little pricey and required planning to actually use at night. Works well enough for me that I will probably always have a backup around though.

As is normal these days, dog toys do not stand up to power chewers, i.e., any dog bigger than a field mouse. That means donāt just let your dog run off with this ball and gnaw on it. For supervised play, however, this thing is great, even glows in the dark. Our dog loves large ball toys like soccer or basketballs, but punctures them in a few seconds. This foam ball has no air, I donāt think, and you can kick it or throw it around the yard. It is light enough for indoor use if you are careful. NOTE: other online retailers have this same item for same price but I suggest buying from Chewy instead so you know you arenāt gettting a fake product. Also some brick and mortar stores sell this ball but at a much higher price. Just get āem from Chewy. I got more than one.
I have an 18 month old German Shepherd. She's young enough to still play rough with her toys and big enough to really ruin most toys. She's had this for two months, she plays with it regularly and its been left outside a number of times. It is still in great shape. The fabric is just starting to wear but the toy itself is as good as day one. It can't be popped, and she hasn't bitten a chunk off like every other ball she's had.
We replace ours once or twice a year, when our 68-pound, moderate-to-light chewer manages to work a hunk off; we don't want him ingesting any foam, obviously. Until that time, though, we have a blast kicking & catching & playing tug. He rolls these balls down a hill to chase them. Easy to grip for me, even when recovering from hand injury. We've had glowing and non-glowing versions. Love them both. Bring them in at night, as with other fabric-covered balls, and they will stay more pleasant for humans to touch, longer. (Also in pic is orange-and-blue Chuck It Fumble Fetch, which you can't find easily by calling it a "football," oddly.)
This is for the large version, which is awesome. My foster dog is relentless with a stick and is constantly wanting to fetch. I got her to go after a ball so I could kick it and work in the yard. We got this ball and it is amazing. She loves it, can grasp it to return it every time, and when she is tired, she brings it up the steps and sets it down by the door. With sticks it is like a neverending obsession. This ball has helped make outdoor play a structured activity, and has allowed me to do some training as well. My old puppy (Buster, he's 9 now) usually likes to play keep away when he gets the ball, but the structure of this has allowed me to teach him to 'drop it', which I thought was impossible (lol). My heavy chewer is not interested in eating this, so I ...Ā MoreThis is for the large version, which is awesome. My foster dog is relentless with a stick and is constantly wanting to fetch. I have been looking for something like this for ages, and this checks all the necessary boxes.Hope this review helps.
This is my dog's second one of these balls, and she loves it. The first one got so worn out from her and the kids (she is a high drive Weimaraner) that a hole finally developed in it and we were forced to throw it out. They're super durable and bite resistant, and I think the kids like it almost as much as the dog. The first one lasted well over a year- probably a year and a half. That's outstanding if you have a dog that's obsessed with its ball and literally uses it many times every day like we do.
Was so excited to get this for our 7 month old pup. He destroys anything with fabrics, loves to play with any type of ball, so I thought this was going to be a good balance. It seemed sturdy and good quality. At first he was terrified of it. Soon he was not scared anymore but about 3 hours of play time later he had separated the fabric from the plastic. And then a few hours later it was completely ripped apart and the foam bit was coming out. Long story short I think this toy would be great for anyone that doesnāt have a chewer! I am tempted to order this again because he loved it but at this price, and rate of destruction itās just not worth it for us at the moment.
We had a slightly smaller version of this toy purchased probably 10+ years ago. Ordered this one when a rip started developing and interior material could be chewed out. This newer version lasted 5 minutes with a Golden who still has all his stuffed toys from puppyhood, so he's obviously not an aggressive chewer
