My pup is quite a chewer; we don\'t allow her to sit and chew the frisbee but she loves to chew things as she is on the way back from fetching it. This frisbee has stood up for months now. The orange plastic is coming off in a few places, but the hard plastic base of the frisbee is in great condition (minus a few teeth marks). If you\'re looking for something that has decent hang time, this won\'t be it as it\'s quite heavy. We live on an oceanfront property with relatively heavy winds and it\'s perfect for our use. I\'ve already bought a backup for when this one breaks!

This is a nice toy, flies well. We only let her have it while monitored. She (9 mos old Smooth Collie) does want to chew on it but it's held up so far. Reason for 4 stars is that it is heavy and tends to collect dirt and rocks between the ridges.

Our Coonhound doesn't just chew toys, he destroys them. He can eventually destroy this one but it will take him a few months, as opposed to a few days. And this doesn't have stuffing that gets shredded all over the house. It's definitely his favorite...and mine.
This frisbee works great for chasing, only frisbee we found with a long roll across the field, our heeler loves to chase it. We have not been able to find a replacement. And yes we have to replace it about every 2 to 3 months. It tears from her teeth and the terrain. But it’s worth her enjoyment. We do not use this as a chew toy, or backyard toy, not a good choice. It soft on her gum and she can carry it home when she likes—then we put it away for the next outing.
I got this for my fetch loving 85 lb Rottweiler mix who loves to chew toys to death. If I get a few weeks out of a toy I’m happy. He was confused by the flyer at first, and halfheatedly went after it after it landed, and had trouble figuring out how to grab it. That being said, i let him just sit with it and gnaw on it for a while, and now that he knows the best way to pick it up its game on. It is quite bent up after about 2 months, but it still flies well. Honestly, I think he enjoys it more if a throw it overhand and let it lroll. Plus, the hole in the center makes it easier for us humans to do tug of war play.
Purchased this Chuckit! and am very disappointed. Within two weeks of play it started to fall apart. Mind you, this was not something we let our dog chew, it was only used for fetch. He is a 90 lb German Shepherd which shouldn't make a difference and if it does the company should say so.
Having read other reviews outlining how these frisbees can be destroyed in minutes, I was reticent ordering one. Instead, I ordered four plus another type from a different manufacturer. My border collie could chew the scales of a stegosaurus but thus far has only caused minor damage which hasn't affected the frisbee's aerodynamics. However, being OCD, he not only wants the existing Chuckit frisbees in his collection, he also wants the pristine packaged ones he has yet to chase, catch or chomp on.
My young lab loves to chew it. So I only use it supervised. I just got home to see that she somehow had gotten to it and eaten most of it. Hoping she passes it. I will not buy another one. Only small pieces on the floor and couch…so hopefully…found the remains in her dog bed, so relieved that most of it is still intact.
