Buy this all the time. The jars are reusable in so many ways, we have so many in our baking cupboard housing different sugars, chocolate chips, nuts, seeds, syrups ect. Lovely flavour passata, not to chunky or thin which is something I have experienced with other brands

Very good as a base to make an authentic sauce for pasta and pizza. Just add onion,garlic,a little sugar, seasoning and cook slowley for about 40 minutes in some good olive oil. Then whizz to make smooth. Use an ice cube tray if you want to freeze.

This is excellent passata, thick consistency, fabulous taste. Handy for sauces, curries, casseroles. Always have a few in the cupboard. Highly recommended.
Very finely chopped but not as smooth as normal passata, nor as watery as tinned chopped tomatoes. I use it for pasta and curry sauces. For pizza topping I add a squirt of tomato puree. I love the glass jars, much better than tins. If I only need half a jar I put the lid back on and put the jar in the freezer. Very good value compared to decent tinned tomatoes. And by the time I've picked the skin, stalks and stringy bits out of the tins I'm left with less than the 350g this offers me with zero waste. Perfect for my needs.
It's one of the main reasons for me to shop at Ocado. I love this product! It has very good texture and taste. Packaging is also very nive - small bottles that you can use one at a time and than you can re-use or re-cycle the glass.
Unlike most other passata, this has no added salt. I use this straight from the jar as a simple pasta sauce for the children, and they love it. Glass jars are a bit OTT, but at least they are recyclable and the small size avoids waste. Tip - frequently out of stock on Ocado so keep a small stock at home!
Handy size eco friendly glass bottles, may seem overkill but helps keep original taste too and... liking the in between rustic vs smooth and chopped tomato texture. Flavour isn?t too bad either and reflected in the price. Great value!
This passata is a fantastic base for anything italian, pasta sauce or pizza topping. I add a splash of olive oil and some oregano/basil and voila. Highly recommended as texture is great and not watery like other passatas can be.
I love these rustica tomatoes so much!! My larder is always stocked with these and I use them every week for my batch cooking. They are nice as they are on top of pizzas or in any bolognese, stews, soups etc. Good flavour and with no bitterness. Extra plus for the glass jars. I have stopped buying tomatoes in tins due to chemicals and environment.
