The chair that grows with your child into adulthood. The intelligent, ergonomically mature design encourages the child to move, play and discover independence without compromising on safety and protection. The unique adjustability of Tripp Trapp means that you can always ensure that the child's elbows are at table height, that the feet are supported and that there is space between the seat and the child's calves. The thighs should sit up so that the knees form an angle of about 90 degrees. For babies, a twofinger wide space between the back of the knee and the seat should be free for air circulation. For slightly older children, approximately Ÿ of the thigh should rest on the seat plate.

Absolutely love my new Stokke. Bought for my grandson for when heâs with us and also bought a complete set for my daughter in the natural oak. Heâs only just 6 months but fits perfectly with the baby set. Great design and feels sturdy and safe plus he can sit with us easily at meal times as it isnât as bulky as some high chairs. The only negative was the instructions to assemble it. Absolutely awful and unhelpful! To add the seat and foot sections, you have to pretty much unscrew all the parts you've just built to install them and this is not explained before you start building the chair! And this happens again when you add the harness, you have to remove the seat section to secure it!Luckily we found and watched a you tube video and instructed my daughter to watch ... MoreAbsolutely love my new Stokke. I did many hours of research comparing high chairs as a first time mom. This investment is beyond worth it due to the frequency and longevity of accrued daily use over the years. What sealed the deal was seeing the Stokke Tripp Trapp high chair in person at the Strolleria showroom. Strolleria's customer service team is exceptional, and the quality of this high chair is like no other. We have used this high chair for 4 years, and it continues to grow with my son. He can comfortably come right up to the table to eat with us. We have another Tripp Trapp for my 1 year old, and we plan to buy another one for our 3rd baby arriving soon. I was hesitant to get this at first due to some of the more negative reviews I saw during my research about the straps being difficult and went with another brand. Major regret. I finally caved, after seeing how uncomfortable the other chair was for my little one, and got the Stokke. Instantly there was an improvement in posture, enthusiasm to eat, and there was no more fussing while being in the chair. The Stokke was a total game changer for our mealtimes. If youâre between this and mother chair, donât make the same mistake I did and waste your money on something else. Just get the Stokke and youâll be so thankful once you see it in action. Little one loves this chair. Oh, and the straps arenât that difficult.

I received a Stokke Tripp Trapp high chair with newborn set through the Stellar Product Testing Panel, for use with my baby. I actually already had a Tripp Trapp from my daughter, who is now almost 4 years old. So even as I received this one complementarily, I have paid in full for one previously. Which is to say, please trust I mean it when I say the Tripp Trapp is worth the price. While we already had a Tripp Trapp, this Stellar Panel is our first time with the newborn set, and it came at just the right moment. My son is 4 months old and cleared for light solids. Feeding a young baby is generally a mess--they're sitting on your lap, they're squirming, oatmeal is dripping down their chin and onto the floor. So I've loved that the newborn set makes this process easier. And an easier process with a baby is instantly a more joyous one, as you can focus on the fun part and not on the challenging part. The newborn seat is easy to pop on, is secure once it's on, appears comfy for baby, and looks and feels nice--bringing him right to the table with the rest of the family. From here, I absolutely *know* I will continue using the Tripp Trapp with him. I know this because we still use our first Tripp Trapp with our daughter, these multiple years later. It has served us well, from those early days with the baby seat and food tray (thank goodness it's so easy to remove and clean that tray!), to the milestone-feeling days where you adjust the seat to reflect your growing child's new height. I love that, at almost 4 years old, she has a chair that's a good size for her. A traditional high chair would be too small physically, and would infantilize her. A dining room chair would be too big; a dining room chair with a booster on it wouldn't be sturdy and wouldn't fully feel like hers. So the Tripp Trapp is really purpose-built to grow with your kid, and it shows.
This is the second Tripp Trapp we have and I think it is a very expensive chair. I had to buy a second one because the baby was jealous her sister sat in one. I think you could probably buy something cheaper and similar build from amazon for less. The pink of my 4 year old Tripp Trapp has faded. The new one is a stronger shade of pink. Maybe they updated the colour. I don't think this chair is easy to clean as food is wet and this is a painted wood chair so the paint can get cracks if you leave it wet. Also food get stuck in the hole where the infant seat inserts into. Not a big deal but not easy to remove food from there. I like how it tucks into the table and how my kids can climb into the seat themselves.
Overall, I am very satisfied with the purchase. We used the ingenuity booster seat until our baby was 10 month old. Later switched to Rialto Folding Booster High Chair for outing and ikea high chair for home. However, ikeaâs is too wide. I tripped over the chair a couple times. Some complain about the suction of the food tray. To be honest, my child is extremely good at removing suction plate from any surface. We have a glass top dining table. The child simply wiggles the plate and uses her little finger to poke at the tab from the bottom to remove suction. So it really doesnât matter how good the surface has suction. The stokke high chair is pricey but I am happy with my bundle deal purchase. I will recommend for children over 1yr old.
I've purchased two of these tripp trapp high chairs in natural oak. The first had large circular cut marks on one of the legs and a very rough splintery texture throughout. Oak wood has more of an "open grain" (I have other oak chairs that are textured but smooth); this wood was not useable without getting splinters. Additionally, after assembling the chair, the top metal bar wasn't flush with the chair legs- there was about a quarter inch gap. Finally, after tightening per the manual, the seat plate was loose while the foot plate was tightened as much as possible. That is, the foot plate appears wider than the seat plate resulting in the seat plate remaining loose and the top metal bar having a gap.So I returned the chair for a replacement. The replacement ... MoreI've purchased two of these tripp trapp high chairs in natural oak. That is, the foot plate appears wider than the seat plate resulting in the seat plate remaining loose and the top metal bar having a gap.So I returned the chair for a replacement. The replacement arrived and the wood is much better- finished smooth with no cut marks. However, upon assembly the seat plate is still loose. I've watched multiple videos, assembled the chair multiple times, and I cannot get the seat plate to stop sliding while the foot plate is installed and tightened.Lastly, there's no way to know if the plates are correctly aligned - the manual just says make sure they're straight. Okay, how? Videos say to measure 4 finger widths from the back. Still can't tighten both the foot plate and seat plate. The tolerance on the seat and foot plate seems off. Maybe it's because this one is made from oak while the traditional chairs are made from beech. And the top metal bar is still not flush to the legs- huge gap. I've had better quality furniture from clearance on Wayfair, that at least assembles correctly without gaps.I will be returning for the second time.Huge hassle since crate and barrel requires me to contact them to start the return, then contact them a second time to notify them once the return is picked up to issue a replacement.
The tray,The tray the tray the tray.Nothing can suction you the tray, and for a high chair this is a must. I asked them company if they plan on fixing the tray in the future and they said they designed the tray that way on purpose. There is a nice texture to the tray, the texture is there to avoid having a perfectly smooth plastic tray because the company said plastic trays, get damaged easily with scratches, and they donât want the babies eating a plastic. So the harder texture tray prevents that but makes it so nothing can suction to it.Other than that this chair is amazing. We did buy a 3rd party tray that works on Amazon. Also check it the âCatchyâ attachment to the chair, it catches 99% of stuff from my 7 month old
I got this high chair during Strolleriaâs first sidewalk sale, so it was on sale. However, it was still $300, but I will say itâs worth every penny. My baby is a bit smaller, 15 lbs/24â at 6 months, so the seat being adjustable is so great. She can actually put her feet on the footrest, and reach the tray. We had a 6-in-1 from Graco, but it was bulky, hard to adjust & she just was too small to even reach the tray.I also love that this chair is so versatile, from infant to toddler to child, even adult! I also love that you can buy different seat covers, which are super easy to buy.The only downside is some suction cup style plates/bowls/toys donât always stick due to the slight texture. This doesnât hinder the purpose of this, but something to think about!10/10 ... MoreI got this high chair during Strolleriaâs first sidewalk sale, so it was on sale. I got this when my baby was one when I realized I wanted a chair with a foot rest. We switched from the newer stokke to this one & Iâm super happy. Some positives are can adjust the foot rest & it looks nice in your house. The best part is that you can pull right up to the table & your child is a part of the family. We started using real plates, forks & cups at 1 year & he seemed to adjust very quickly with minimal mess Vs a regular high chair with the tray. I got the added tray & itâs useful for messier dinners (yogurt, sauces& things that smear) to just throw in the sink or dishwasher but 99% of the time I donât use they tray & he just eats at the table. Some people say itâs hard to clean but I donât think so at all. It wasnât as easy to put together as other high chairs either but not really a drawback. Even with the price being high I would 100% say itâs worth it. I feel like the foot rest helps reduce choking & adds comfort for your kid, and the design of pulling up to the table makes all the difference in positive eating habits. This high chair really hits all the needs for a mom!
