Citizen Eco-Drive AW5000-24E Watch

Beautiful military-style watch. Nothing extraneous, just a handsome, easy to read dial & date. This is my second Eco-Drive Citizen watch. The first was a Blue Angels aviator watch with all kinds of doo-dads. it sure looked cool, but I never figured out most of the functions. This time I was looking for a WWII A-11 style watch. This one checked all the boxes. I'm very happy with my purchase.

It's bigger than I expected from looking at the picture. Should have paid more attention to the description. That crown is huge, and it makes a big watch look medium in pictures.I got it because the technology intrigues me and I didn't have a Citizen. I've been wearing it to work (in a casual office).It's easy to read quickly (partially because it is big and partially because the markings are simple).The strap is better than expected. The outer layer is canvas, but the inner layer on your wrist is suede (natural or synthetic I don't know, but it's much more comfortable than canvas is). It is apparently stuffed with some kind of foam, which also improves the comfort.
