I received this skincare free from Influenster and Clarins in exchange for my honest review . The AHA/BHA Beauty Flash Peel seems less like a 10 minute peel to me, and more like a leave-on chemical exfoliator. The instructions say to apply to clean skin the clear gel that dries to a tacky finish and then wait ten minutes before using your regular moisturizer. If it were more moisturizing, then it could be used as an overnight mask. But I don't see any reason to wait the ten minutes. There isn't an indication of how much salicylic acid and glycolic acid is actually in the formula, or if it's at a pH level to be effective. The samples are so tiny that I can't fully try it, but it seems tingly like either a strong chemical exfoliator, or an irritating product. It’s honestly the most effective skincare product I’ve ever used to treat uneven skin tone and texture!! It has a smooth gel consistency and fresh clean scent. This product smooths on easily and a little goes a long way. I applied it before bed and woke up the next morning looking ten years younger! My skin tends to be on the sensitive side, however this product caused absolutely no irritation whatsoever. I look forward to using this product weekly as part of my skin care routine. Clarins is often considered top of the line when it comes to skin and their latest Flash Peel doesn’t disappoint. It’s effective enough to leave the skin soft and supple, as well as feeling refreshed. It does have a “brightening” effect if you use it long enough – but you need to be consistent. The pros of this formula is that it’s gentle and effective – using just less than 1% of AHA/BHA! Wow – additionally it contains salicylic acid for the benefit of unclogging pores. The cons are the price point. While Clarins Double Serum is a holy grail (thanks influenster for introducing me!) $55 is a little steep when you can purchase The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution for $8. Now I’m not the type to need fancy but I do review honestly and I do not believe anyone can give their true opinion of a product especially of a skincare item when it’s sample size. This product was never used. I’m being fully honest here this sample size was a joke. There was no way to even use it once. It was .1oz not even half an oz. I will not waste my time. I’m disappointed in this review and being chosen for this box. This is why I said no to begin with because I can’t form or give an opinion on a product when it has little to nothing inside. No skincare will give miracle results in one use. It was a waste of time.

For me, I have dry mature skin so I don't like to leave this peel on overnight. I will leave it on for about 15-20 mins a few times a week then "slather" my skin with a good moisturizer. FOR ME, this works well. I did try it once overnight and my skin was SUPER dry the next day. I love clarins and this is a great product so I improvised. This is a gentle peel that didn't cause an uncomfortable sensation, I feel just the right amount, cause NO irritation or redness. I am left with soft smooth glowing skin. Will I purchase? I have somewhat sensitive, acne-prone skin and I enjoyed the Clarins Flash Peel. It has a thin clear gel texture and feels cool on the face. Because of my occasional sensitivity, I use this for 5 minutes instead of the maximum 10 and rinse it off instead of leaving it on as directed. After the 5 minutes, my skin starts to tingle so I rinse it off and follow with my nightly moisturizer. I know my skin is sensitive but I find it interesting that people said this is super gentle because I think leaving it on as directed would have led to redness and irritation.
