I received the new Hydra-Essentiel [HA2] Silky Cream SPF 15 Day Cream and Hydra-Essentiel [HA2] Night Cream as a gift for my birthday. Both the day and night cream smell absolutely heavenly! However, apart from their scent, these products work extremely well and provide my skin with ample hydration. Just for some reference, my skin type is combination; oily in the T-zone and dehydrated around the cheeks. I've been using these creams for the past 2 weeks now and I am truly blown away by results! The day cream is super soft, light and silky in texture and is absorbed by the skin almost instantly. I love that the day cream has a little SPF in it because SPF is essential in skincare as it helps protect against sun damage, so the day cream being both a moisturiser and SPF gets a huge thumbs up from me! The night cream on the other hand is a bit richer and creamier in texture and rightfully so, as it soaks nicely into the skin and keeps the skin hydrated all night long. The thing I love about the night cream is that even though it's texture is richer and creamier than the day cream's texture, it does not leave the skin feeling sticky nor as if there is a heavy layer of something coating the skin. Instead, the night cream leaves the skin feeling adequately hydrated, nourished from within and gives the skin this radiant and plumped look. These products are definitely true to their claim of providing plumped skin in 60 seconds - I've seen the results for myself and I am in love with it! These day and night creams have officially become my all-time favourite creams and I don't think I could live without them (feel like I need a lifetime's supply, that's just how good I find these products). One tip I have is that you should use a few drops of the Hydra-Essentiel Bi-Phase Serum on your freshly cleansed face and then apply your day or night cream - I believe this serum helps lock / draw in more moisture to the skin, giving your skin that extra boost of hydration and leaving your skin with a nice dewy glow - I promise you that you'll love the results, just try it! Sadly I only had a 3,5 ml sample of the Bi-phase serum which is now finished, but trust me, the results are amazing. I highly recommend both the Hydra-Essential day and night creams and think they should be an all year / all season staple, not just a winter favourite - although they really do work wonders now during the cold season!

Clarins Hydra-Essentiel Night cream contains some beneficial ingredients such as shea butter, vitamin E, squalane, and includes two types of hyaluronic acid. The cream is white in color and on the thicker side. I found it easy to apply this cream to my dry, parched skin and it absorbed into my skin rather quickly. The cream left my face feeling smooth (the silicone in this cream probably helped with that) and did not leave my face looking or feeling greasy. Unfortunately, this cream is not moisturizing enough for my skin. This cream feels hydrating and plumping to my skin at first but the effect doesn't seem to last more than an hour. I'd rather reach for the drugstore version instead of this one from Clarins. My experience with this product would've been better if it had no fragrance at all.
