I’m SO disappointed in this product! I was using the original Double Fix Mascara for years as I have watery eyes and it was the only product that kept my eyes from turning into panda eyes. I was gutted when it was discontinued. So I was thrilled when I discovered there was a ‘replacement’. This product doesn’t seem to ‘dry’ therefore it leaves globules of mascara around your eyes and within a short time it’s traveled downwards and it’s panda eyes again! It’s honestly a complete waste of money….

I was so impressed with this product….I’m a photographer, and last Saturday I worked a 10 hour wedding, outdoors, with drizzle all day…. my mascara was fully water-proofed and at the end of this very long day was still all on my lashes…there was zero “migration” of mascara under my eyes.Super product.Super product

I find this new larger red tube to be different from the original smaller white tube. The applicator is bigger and the product goes on wetter. I find it leaves lash marks on my upper lids. It also seems to form tiny clumps at the ends of my lashes. The original product went on easier using the smaller applicator and went on drier. I could hardly tell it was there, except for the fact that my mascara never ever smudged under my eyes. I would love to see the original product back. I will not buy the new version again.

Just like what everyone other reviewer said, the old formula was so much better than the current red tube formula. My mascara smudges under my eyes despite using this. In addition, the brush sucks. The bristles are so long that it doesn't even touch the lashes and if you keep brushing it through, the original mascara comes off. I cut the bristles half size or more so the formula can touch my lashes. Please bring back the white tube formula! This one is terrible in comparison!!! Highly disappointed with the new upgrade.
Clarins used to do a similar product called Double Fix, which was excellent but they discontinued that some while ago. Therefore, I was really interested in trying this to put a waterproof seal over mascara and as a clear shaping product for brows.Unfortunately, this wasn't good in either category. Seemed to make my otherwise smudge-proof mascara, smudge! Certainly, didn't stand up to a light shower - mascara performed better alone and it isn't a waterproof version. Left a sticky film on the brows and wasn't keen on the brush either.Would not re-purchase.
It makes my mascara last without the need for a waterproof mascara - waterproof mascara can be quite drying for lashes plus they still give me tiny black/brown dots just below my eyebrows (where my eyelashes make contact with my skin, depending on the colour of the mascara.) This topcoat prevents the little dots from appearing. It's brilliant!I don't find this necessary for my eyebrows - waxes keep them in place.
I have used the Clarins Double Fix Mascara for many years but was so dissapointed with the latest formula. It seems sticky and doesnt dry creating mascara smudge. The brush is an improvement on the last spiky brush but the new formula doesnt work. I have changed to a cheaper brand which seems to work.
In the past I used this clear mascara to stop my mascara from causing panda eyes. Then the product disappeared from all stores for a number of years. In the last few months I have found it again. It is in a new larger size than previously and I am really pleased with its use again. A panda no longer by the end of the day!!
I don't buy waterproof mascaras as I don't use them often enough, they dry out, and get wasted on me (plus I hate removing them). So I got this for the few times (especially in the summer) when I do need a waterproof mascara. AND it's brilliant because you can seal your eyebrow product too. I'm in love, since I brought it with me on a short trip to Iceland, where I spent an afternoon at the Blue Lagoon, it poured with rain while we were there and of course we were outside and with geothermal vapour emanating from the grounds, and this helped my brows and mascara survive and not make me look sick without them. I was even in 2 saunas and it didn't melt. To say I'm impressed and forever a returning customer is an understatement, this was brilliant!
I bought this two weeks ago. It is NO GOOD. Sorry to have to say this. Ive been using the original product for 10+ years. Loved it. This thingbin the red tube was awful. It didnt dry, it was oily and my brows came off on bedfing, masage table, etc but not on my brows. Sweating made it run, and wiping my brow made my eyebrows disapoear. I took it back and tgank God the Jo Malone salesgirl found 1 ofvthe originaks hiding in the drawer. When I got home I immediately searched online and found 2 at Walmart. If you dont return to the original formula and original brush (which I still have, not the hard, wiry little brush they replaced the orig brush with, nor the one in this red tube) I'll just buy drug store waterproof mascara and reminisce
