Clarins Super Restorative Treatment Essence - 200ml

Many years using Clarins products! Full satisfaction for years. But this new essence made me so disappointed…. The previous product on that line was perfect to me , new one is opposite….Why you need those changed!?Not recommend… miss my wake up restorative lotion used for many years with big satisfaction. And also never had allergy on Clarins products!!! With this new one something going wrong.

Another Disappointment

So sad to find that this product has been revamped and not for the better. I loved the old version, and used it for years. I loved the texture and how it felt upon application. I do wish Clarins would support their loyal fan base. I used to use Clarins products exclusively, but am now having to replace my favourite products with other manufacturers' because Clarins keep changing their formulae.

Application video

Have just bought the product and headed to the video to see how to apply correctly. Whilst I appreciate some women do experience the menopause at an early age. I feel the lady in the video could be a little more age appropriate. I am probably being a tad pedantic, but if you aim a range at a certain age - make the person in the video more relatable to the product. I understand it still shows application, just not sure the young lady relates to the write up about the product.

Bring back the old formula

I'm not one to write negative feedback but I am so so disappointed with the new formula. The old one was more viscous and felt like velvet going on. This new one is so watery, I at first thought I'd bought the wrong product. I feel like I waste so much because it just goes everywhere and its too expensive to waste like that. Please bring back the old formula!

Disappointing new version

I have been using the old version of this product for years and have loved it. The new format is more expensive and far less good. The texture is thin and like water so it’s difficult to regulate how much you’re using because so much spills out when you open the bottle. It’s more difficult to apply because it’s so runny whereas the old version was slightly thicker and easier to use. I’ve been a Clarins user all my adult life and most of their products are great but I won’t be buying this one again.

It WAS a great product

I’m so disappointed that Clarins is changing their products, and based on experience and reviews it’s not for the better. This was a fantastic product but I won’t bother trying the new reformulation based on the reviews. While I still have old formulations left, I’m checking out other brands. With the responses that reviews are getting, it’s clear that Clarins is no longer interested in satisfying their customer base with good, quality products. What a shame, since they were so good for so long.

Like water!

I’d tried a sample size of this product (previous formula I now realise!) and loved its viscosity and effect on my skin but when I recently had a full sized bottle through my points gained from my Gold Salon Clarins For Me, I was SO disappointed that the texture was completely different and it therefore spills out in an uncontrollable manner so I usually waste so much product and it doesn’t feel the same on my skin. I thought at first there was a fault with the product but am sad to say that, having read other reviews, this is the new and less than satisfactory new formula. Please bring back the previous version! Won’t be using my precious Clarins For Me points again nor purchasing it. This product is a “no” from me.

Lovely feel and smooth skin

This Essence makes my skin feel really soft with a smooth appearance, it is quite watery but goes on lovely, it is not oily at all which suits me as I can’t stand tacky or oily feel to my skin, once it’s on you can’t feel a residue or anything on your skin.I also have very sensitive skin and can’t use a lot of products but this is perfect,I haven’t noticed a massive difference just smoother skin but I’ve only been using it a couple of weeks. Little expensive but worth it. Maybe Clarins could start doing a budget range as at the moment people can’t spend alot and I’m one of them

Sadly disappointing

Loved this product and was disappointed when it wasn't available recently, due to the new formatting and product launch. Was looking forward to the relaunched product, On opening, the fluid spilled out like water, so I lost more than I needed. The viscosity has gone and it is difficult to regulate a small amount of the product on to the hand. It feels similar on the face, but is like water. Sadly disappointed.

What a find!

Well this was a find, I'd read about the Clarins essences but wasn't convinced, but I tried a sample and was impressed enough to buy a bottle. I'd had a facial and was recommended it for my age/skin type, and I use it after toner and before moisturiser- this has really mad a difference to the way my skin feels and its surface, it is more even and git some elasticity back. So I would recommend try a sample and include it in your morning routine. It has been worth it for me. A little goes along long way!
