Clarins Supra Volume Mascara - #01 Intense Black (Limited Edition) 8ml

This is the first time I’ve gotten a full sized mascara without trying a tester sized one first in a long while, and I do not regret buying it. I love the sleek metallic design, and the wand/applicator is so easy to use. I have very short/stubby eyelashes so not all mascaras work for me, and choosing a good one is always challenging. It separates the lashes, and makes them seem longer and have more volume to them. It stays on for the longest time, doesn’t clump, and doesn’t make your eyes look like raccoon’s even after a whole day. I really like this mascara, and would definitely recommend it to anyone who is on the look out for one.

Amaaazing, but smudgy

I received a sample of this in my last Clarins order and couldn't believe how GORGEOUS this mascara is. It's probably the best I've used. But — and this is a BIG but — it smudges beneath my under eyes rather quickly. Like, within an hour. I am in absolute love with the way it looked, so defining and yet also voluminous. I have clear, very long and thick lashes, and this looked so beautiful and natural. Perhaps my long lashes are one of the reason it smudged, that, in combination with a little bit of oily eyelids. I've tried sooo many mascaras, and I think this is one of the most beautiful. I'm giving it 4 because maybe if you're not me and have shorter lashes or less oily eyelids you'll get to use this gorgeous formula.

Delivers thick lush lashes instantly

Love this mascara. Infused with cassia flower wax it acts to condition and strengthen my lashes as I wear it. It’s a rich lush formula, so creamy it Coates my lashes with ease and instantly adds volume and length. It’s great value for the results and I get loads of compliments when I wear this mascara. The black pigment is really rich and high quality and it gives my lashes definition and glamour. It’s really light and comfortable to wear and has never flaked, it also lasts really well without smudging. The gold container is quite luxe and I feel this is a really high end mascara that is worth investing in. I would highly recommend this mascara

Disappointing

I was given this as part of a set for Christmas. It goes on great and eyelashes look great but within a few hours I have black smudges under my eyes. Haven’t rubbed or anything - just doesn’t stay on my lashes. I’ve tried only doing the upper lashes but I still got panda eyes. Disappointing unfortunately. Love Clarins in general but this didn’t work well at all.

Good mascara with some nuances

I like Clarins cosmetics - lip gloss, lipstick and creams. Accidentally found that Clarins Supra Volume Mascara exists in brown, and decided to purchase to try it out (as I exclusively use brown mascara normally). The mascara is comfortable, doesn't crumble during the day (though I haven't seen how it handles itself in heat), the color is rich and dark and I like it a lot. The brush is comfy, paints the eyelashes well, slightly twirls them. My eyelashes more so get elongated than grow in volume. Also want to point out the stylish design of the packaging of Clarins. What I didn't like is that the consistency of the mascara is a little bit dry, and that it's harder to wash off than most other products. Longer, defined lashes.

As someone with fine, fair and sparse lashes, I have a bit of a mascara fetish and as a happy Clarins skincare customer I can't believe I hadn't tried any of their mascaras until recently. I love the intense jet black colour and the brush ensures every lash is evenly coated. While it adds volume, it looks classy, not over the top or false, but I am most impressed with how long it makes my lashes look and the definition is amazing. No clumping, just sleek, lengthened and defined lashes with a slight curl that really open up my eyes, and my lashes don't feel stiff or brittle. Even though I try others and keep going back to this one, it's not really worthy of 5 stars because It does have it's cons, but I keep going back to this one for one reason only...The Pigment! This is the only mascara that gives me a super dark look and makes my eyes POP. It doesn't lengthen to the extreme nor volumize to the extreme but it does go on evenly and consistently every time even with first use. I don't have to swipe the brush off first, fight off clumps or use with a very light hand. I can swipe on my lashes with gusto and keep swiping for whatever coverage I want. THAT is the #2 reason why I love this mascara. This is the type of mascara and I can put on without a mirror too. All the others I have to baby to not get a gloppy mess. The brush is a real bristle brush too and grips the lashes nicely. The plastic bristles end up poking my eyes out. So again, not really a 5 star mascara for me but very worthy of being a repeat purchase for me for like 10 years now! The only thing missing to make it a 5 star mascara is if dried just a tad harder. It does stay soft which some like. The scent is divine too.

I absolutely love this mascara! It is both a treatment and a mascara in one! Thanks to Clarins free samples, I was able to compare this to their other mascaras and I ultimately chose this one because it is super conditioning and adds beautiful, yet natural looking volume with just one coat. It is a perfect intense black and you can add more coats for more volume. The applicator is just right. I find the formula is a perfect consistency. It is not took thin or too thick. It is very easy to apply and it does not drip or rub off where you don't want it. Some reviewers have said that it dries out but I have not experienced that. I just make sure to gently warm the tube up in my hands or under my leg before applying. This makes it perfectly pliable. It lasts all day and ... MoreI absolutely love this mascara! Will try again in the future but I returned it

I love the way it made my lashes feel and it was super light but it ran on me and a few flakes. I don't know it might be because of my heavy sunscreen? Maybe I'll try it again one day when I don't have a hydrating sunscreen. However, it did have a horrible smell like a L'Oreal mascara. Lol. Dunno if I got a bad one but it's supposed to regrow your lashes? I'll try again in the future. If the smell is a permanent thing I will put up with it so my lashes will grow!

Worth the extra money

After years of trial and error I've always used No7 mascaras and would never have considered paying £24 for a Clarins Mascara, but I got one in a promotional gift bag and wow, no going back now, it's worth the extra! No clumping, beautiful smooth formula, coats every lash, doesn't over-fibre your longer lashes, so you get a lovely even look. Also defines all the little lashes on lower lid. Stays on all day, no flecking, absolutely love this. I've had little trial makeup products from Clarins over the years with promotions, as I've used their day and night cream for 18 years, but never really felt the makeup was any better than my fave No7 products, but this mascara is definitely one of the premium products that are worth spending the extra on yourself.
