Amazing number of Uses!
Bunnings asked me to review this piece of wood I purchased. It's a really nice colour, just what you'd expect from Premium grade pine. The width was exactly as specified, so was the depth, and again, so was the length. I couldn't be more happy with my piece of wood and highly recommend the purchase to anyone considering purchasing one. No need to shop around, this will do the job, lots of features and fun for the whole family.... Show more

Bendy boards
Not a straight edge on any of the pieces I bought. Tried to pick the best ones in store that didn't look warped, when I got them home and put a straight edge on, realised they all had bend in them. Had to run them all through a joiner. If you want squared timber and don't have the tools to square them up these are not the planks to buy... Show more

Buyer beware - check the sizing before you buy
I bought a couple of pieces of this timber for a furniture project which was coming along nicely until I realised that one of the pieces was only 180 wide instead of 184.Hours of work wasted. When I went back to discuss what happened I was offered a replacement but no recognition of my wasted time.I found numerous other 180 wide pieces in the pile, so this is clearly not a one off anomoly.... Check for length and straightness before you leave the shop
I picked up a variety of dressed pine including the above size over the last 2 weeks to make myself a new entertainment unit. The overall quality was poor and complaints were uneven lengths. Bows and twists in straight pieces. Both of which you have to deal with as you go. I have bought a lot of pine over the years for a lot of different home furniture but quality is at an all time low.... Show more

Disapointing purchase
This was following the previous purchase of premium pine boards which were satisfactory however this time the board was not flat, one end being "cupped" more than 2mm. The board was also under the correct width. It was about 232 mm wide. This illustrates the downside of "click and collect" shopping.... Show more

Gave an Excellent Outcome
Our Patio roof was leaking in a couple of places. I got up on the roof and thoroughly cleaned it of built up leaves and twigs. Because of the build up of this debris the fibreglass roofing had sagged in a number of places. I then leveled out the roofing using the 2 x 1 pine to strengthen & level the roof. The end result was tremendous. I also bought some long electrical piping that I used to make the broom handle hugely long, this proved to be an excellent result (I teliscoped the end of the broom handle into the piping & fastened them together with some electrical tape that I had bought from Bunnings last year. There is no more flooding of the patio veranda. Many thanks to Bunnings.... Show more

If 'Click and Collect' - TIMBER - Check QUALITY before leaving!
The timber purchased online from Bunnings in the last month, was nicely wrapped in clear plastic pallet wrap, (which did have a nice shiny picked/packed label). Due to the COVID LOCKDOWNS, I was unable to pick my own timber.I normally would not engage with online purchases for timber, because picking your own timber, ensures quality, and is by far superior.I don't normally waste time writing these types of reviews. However! As an Advanced DIYer, who has purchased many timber lengths over the years, of the dressed timber brand advertised, as sold in Bunnings, where the dressed timber normally has a certified sticker attached by the supplier of the 'DRESSED PINE' timber. I have built many custom projects, so I know exactly what quality to expect !!So. I was absolutely shocked, when I returned home, removed the clear wrap off the bundled timber and discovered, the timber actually looked like:-- it had fallen off the back of a truck, with many bruises on the edges and ends, and;- worse, the timber which is suppose-to-be DRESSED PINE TIMBER, had raw undressed ends, and;- was under-size to the advertised timber size (really was substandard of already poor quality), and;- the timber was twisted, with bows, and the edges were not nice and straight, and;- the company who processed the "DRESSED PINE", there was no label on the timber, so it looked unbranded and of very poor quality, and;- the timber dressed edges were anything but dressed, with bumpy, rough, uneven, and some were DRESSED with a damaged blade, causing the timber to be of seriously poor processing quality, and;- the timber actually felt like it was pallet packing timber, so just plain low quality timber of really poor quality, is what I'm saying. Not what I'm use-to receiving from Bunnings hardware! It seems no care at all !!I won't be using such a substandard service, even if the COVID Lockdowns are still in place, because it's not worth the hassle, and I'm horribly shocked at Bunnings !!... Poor quality product
I purchased some dressed pine this morning & once again Bunnings have spoiled my efforts to deliver a quality piece to my client. For the money you pay shouldn’t Bunnings run their dressed wood through a thicknesser? I’m making an important memorial plaque but, the wood is slightly warped & in this case it matters. The wood is having a 3D border added on a CNC & if the tool doesn’t touch evenly it won’t look as good as it should. Run your dressed pine through a thicknesser Bunnings!!!... Show more

Very Good Timber
Purchased a bunch in store. I took the time to pick and choose through the timber pile. Very nice quality. Cheers.ps. A heads up; pine is a 'softwood' so extra care is needed when transporting and since it's dressed the edges are prone to denting since it is 'squared' off.... Show more
