A lifesaver
To start, I'd like to point out that I'm visually impaired. That gives me quite some trouble with touchscreen keyboards. So I've been using physical keyboard phones all my life starting with Nokia's and ending with a Blackberry Key2. The last few years there's almost no new phones in the physical keyboard niche market though and so i was pretty worried about how to keep using smartphones. That's until I read an article about Clicks keyboard. I was immediatly interested and intrigued. However, I'm nogt a big fan of the iPhone so i postponed purchasing it. That's until I read that it was compatible with the Nothing phone as well. I immediatly ordered both the Nothing phone and Clicks keybaord and I've been using it for a week now. Now I'm hoping you will release the Clicks companion app for android as well so i can configure it properly. Built-in features like double space for interpunction and starting sentences with capital letters isn't working properly. But that are just minor issues. Overall I'm very gratefull to you for releasing this product and am looking forward to your future android products.... Show more

Amazing Keyboard, Average Case.
So to start this off, it goes without saying that y the clicks keyboard is amazing. It is well thought out, super responsive, satisfying, and makes the whole typing experience more accurate. The backlight is perfect for low-light situations, and the buttons are nice and tactile. But not EVERYTHING is perfect on this generation of the case. First off, the buttons feel less clicks then when I first received it, not sure if it’s because i did something wrong, but they definitely don’t click the same anymore. Second is the pass-through charging. There’s a few seconds of delay from when you charge the phone to when it reconnects and lets you start typing again, which over time is inconvenient. The silicone material around the volume buttons and power button is EXTREMELY flimsy. Over time of continuous use it starts to bow out, and has an impact on the overall aesthetic of the case. Definitely needs more thought put into the case, rather than just the keyboard. Also there isn’t any magsafe (which doesn’t effect me) but just something to be aware of.... Show more

Do you have Clicks in your pocket, or are you happy to see me?
It’s massive, it's gorgeous, it's a frutiger aero fever dream with a side of BlackBerry nostalgia.Clicks for iPhone completely transforms the way you use your phone, mostly for the better. The typing is smooth and fast, the muscle memory clicks in almost immediately if you’ve ever used a qwerty phone. The system and in-app shortcuts are awesome.Multilanguage keyboards on iOS work flawlessly, which is a must for my use.The only elephant in the room are the actual elephantine dimensions of your device with the case on. And i have an iPhone 15. Cannot imagine lugging along a Pro Max. I’d love the next version to either cover parts of the screen, to slide out or maybe fold out. Otherwise, it's mad, beautiful and won't be leaving my phone for quite a lot of time.... Show more

Fantabulous, with some drawbacks..
As an alleged Geriatric Millennial, I’m old enough to have owned a cell phone before they were smart, and the Blackberry Pearl (remember that, kids?!) and Blackberry Bold. On-screen keyboards weren’t a thing for me, and I never learned to properly type on them. In our year of the Lord, 2024, I still waxed poetic about physical keyboards. Until now. Clicks for 15 Pro, Miami Beach color. Nostalgia overload! It looks great, gets compliments, and brings all the boys to the yard. The backlit keys are chef’s kiss too.And now the drawbacks… It makes your phone a few grams heavier and your hands and fingers definitely FEEL that.. Carpal tunnel after Carper Diem! (I am kidding. I hope). As expected there’s a learning curve, and the shape of the keys, unlike with the ... I hope). As expected there’s a learning curve, and the shape of the keys, unlike with the Blackberry of olden days, are quite small and don’t “flow” into or touch each other. So, I can’t slide my fingers over the keys to type quickly, as the keys have no ergonomic slants or dents. It also eats through my iPhone’s battery life more quickly that I’d like and the battery saving feature is a bit cumbersome, making you have to “wake-up” your keyboard, thus requiring extra clicking before you can actually click. Finally, I noticed that autocorrect while typing doesn’t always work consistently, unlike with the on-screen keyboard. For example, whenever I type “I’m” it doesn’t bother inserting the apostrophe, and doesn’t automatically capitalize a lone “i” when i type “I”.Also no MagSafe, although if you lay it flat on a wireless charger it will work just fine, but I personally use MagSafe accessories that put my phone in all kinds of gravity-defying postions, so I had to get a stick-on MagSafe ring. These may seem like quite a bit of drawbacks, but I’m satisfied with my purchase and understand that first iterations of innovative products are just that: Version 1.0.Looking forward to updates in the future to both firmware and hardware.... Mixed feelings
A chronic Blackberry user. Have owned and loved all Bolds during the BB era, followed by a quick stint with a Nokia Qwerty phone. I am 6 feet tall surgeon and have reasonably appropriate sized hands for someone my built. The reason I purchased a clicks keyboard was for the nostalgia and to help me text when I am gloved which is most times in the OR, prepping prior to surgery. In fact, I was so obsessed with this notion, I sold my samsung s24 ultra and purchased an iphone 15 pro, just because clicks don't make products for androids yet. Here is my honest feedback:1. Looks - 10/10 - Its a head turner no doubt. I added a blackberry wallpaper to my device and now everyone who glances asks me if BB have returned. There have been times I've said yes.2. Built quality - 9/10 - I wish they had added the top line of the keyboard with the call, menu and navigation buttons as well. This would make the phone world class.3. Key press 10/10 - Clicky and nice. Just like the blackberrys. Accidental sends have happened a few times, but I guess its more of a learning curve or regaining the muscle memory4. Weight balance 6/10 - Still feel phone is heavier than the keyboard, but I guess this could be a lot worse if they had not already paid attention to this.5. Connectivity 6/10 - Charges well. Holds battery well. Only issue is that the USBC still does not connect to wired apple car play.6. Do I see using this forever - Not a chance. Texting with a touch screen with predictive text has certainly become a lot quicker. When the Nostalgia thirst quenches, you may find yourself returning to your normal phone.7. Was is worth it given the price tag? Well, if you have money to spare in todays day and age, go for it. If not, (and I am very sad to say this), we need to move on as buttons have become history.... Nice Product/Needs work though
The clicks keyboard is a wonderful item, it really is. I enjoyed working with it for a few days, however, there are some cons that I think need to be worked on. First, let me say that it was wonderful to use an actual tactile keyboard once again, and the shortcuts make using the keyboard very easy if you can get used to them.A couple of things that I think need to be worked on;I know it’s not marketed as a phone case, but it really does not give the phone much protection if it should happen to fall. I did not like the fact that I could not use my plug in ear pods and that I could not use CarPlay with a cord. CarPlay works fine with Bluetooth, but on long trips, you cant plug it in which means you would have to take it out of the case, which can be a little ... CarPlay works fine with Bluetooth, but on long trips, you cant plug it in which means you would have to take it out of the case, which can be a little annoying and cumbersome. Also, I think it could be a little bit more weighted on the bottom because it seems a bit top-heavy since it’s so long and slender. If these cons ever get worked out with clicks, I would absolutely, 100% purchase another one for my iPhone 15.... Show more

Pretty good, unique case
I would largely recommend the clicks keyboard case. I've had a pretty good experience with it and most of the issues I've had are either a direct result of it's size, or issues that I'm not sure the Clicks team can resolve themselves.First, the good. I am not a content creator, but I do a lot of remote system admin work and I got Clicks with the hope that it would be easier for me to use remote tools like iSH Shell, write structured text files or use remote code editors in a pinch. For this, it works exactly as advertised. I get more screen real estate and easier access to keyboard shortcuts I'd otherwise expect. Now the cons, starting with size. It's not like I'd want a smaller keyboard, so it's hard to truly take this as a fault but it's so long that most magsafe chargers I use with it don't work ideally. It's either long enough that it can't sit on a desk floating charger, too heavy and falls off on my car one, or can't quite fit in the space provided. Usually I just take it out of the case for this.Second, since I'm mostly using it for remote system admin and lite-coding, the keys that have been included are not ideally suited for me. A dedicated tab and ctrl key would be useful, not either/or. Ctrl is used in many keyboard CLI shortcuts to exit, tab used for many text formats that depend on formatting. That and I'd love dedicated arrow keys, but I don't know what, if anything, I'd trade for that keyboard real estate. But in both cases, I doubt "remote cli work" is a common use case for Clicks and the key's I need are not commonly used in any other workflows so hard to see why they would cater to me. If they produced a unique case for system admin, cool, but doubt the market is big enough for it.Otherwise, glad I got the keyboard and I'd likely buy another when I upgrade phones. If I had 1 feature request, I'd love it if there was a way to easily surface keyboard commands that are otherwise hidden in 3rd party apps. I have no idea if this is possible programmatically in iOS, it's likely not, but I love finding out that my favorite apps already support useful shortcuts so I can get the most out of my case.... [Rewarded Review] Physical Keyboards Died Out For a Reason
While the concept here is cool, fun and nostalgic, it's absolutely not practical. They keyboard is backlit, certain keys change color if you have them locked, etc. However, I have the 15 Pro Max and it makes the phone way too big to hold onto. I like the faux leather pad area on the bottom of the back panel to help you get a better grip, but it's just not enough. The keyboard doesn't work with many apps that require me to type numbers in different fields and I have to resort to hitting the "Show Keyboard" button on the case, which is just extra steps that don't need to exist. I'm returning this after less than 12 hours of use.Kudos to the manufacturer for trying something fun and novel, but this isn't for me.As someone who had no other option back in the day ... Having extra screen space is not worth the other trade-offs of a much taller phone and having to hunt for the symbols I use regularly on the letter keys. (@,#,$, etc.)The price point is also much too high. This was purchased using some reward points but still felt it was too much.... Show more

Surprisingly Satisfied; a taste of functionality with a hint of nostalgia
I tend to watch much reviews and focus on negative reviews prior to buying any products. For the Clicks keyboard, some of the major concerns people have was that the product is gimmicky (not too much value), the weight distribution is an issue and the lack of MagSafe support. Anyways, after fighting resistance and opting to buy, I am more than satisfied with my purchase. The learning curve was more of a trip down memory lane as missteps (or missed taps keys) experienced during the first two weeks are not noticeable after a month of use. I can even type while not looking down and concentrating on my sports on the big screen. An act I was not able to fulfill since my days of using the Blackberry Bold and Sidekick. Even as much as I enjoyed my Blackberry Passport, I did find the keys too far apart while the Blackberry Key2 keys were too thin. While these keys tend to be smaller than I preferred, it is a conceded tradeoff that we must accept nowadays considering the smaller widths of phones.Noticeable benefits: I rarely take it out of the case. I was going to assume because of its size and lack of MagSafe, I was only going to use it during work hours to power through on emails. I find myself rarely taking it off and writing more social media posts on it. The top-heavy concern is not that much of an issue as I am already used to hold my phone is such a manner when typing on a virtual keyboard anyway. Now, typing on a tactile keyboard, it seems much more satisfying feeling my tips press on buttons knowing I am actually hitting a key - much like a keyboard. That sensation "tricks" my brain into knowing that I did not miss a key and I can concentrate much quicker on the next key or word, rather than continuously glancing on what I wrote to see if there are any errors on my sentence. The only draw back is the lack of MagSafe. For charging, it is not much of an issue as I can easily plug a USB-C wire or even lay it on top of a Qi Wireless charging puck. However, my daily wallet is MagSafe and I do see myself carrying it less. Thankfully, with Apple Wallet, most of my cards, IDs and commuter passes are all stored electronically so I do not need to have my physical wallet at my possession at all times. So, overall, I am highly satisfied with the product and glad I purchased it.... Show more
